The 'full-screen auto-hiding in El Capitan' issue supposedly fixed in 3.0.5 is still present.

To reproduce it:

- put any window in fullscreen. For example Safari. uBar is hidden. great
- go back to a non-full screen app (CTRL + left arrow). uBar show up. great
- go back to the full screen app (CTRL + right arrow). uBar still show up instead of being hidden

Thanks for the note - switching spaces is getting in the way of uBar detecting FS switches at the moment. I am working on a way to handle it.

You're welcome. Small update fixing a rare bug, and with new highly prestigious popup tails for window previews:

Release Notes for 3.1.0
  • Tweak: Window previews bow have popup tails
  • Fix: Solved a launch crash during rare condition (Reported by Allan Davidson)

Quite often (actually, almost always) Firefox cannot be minimized by clicking on its icon in ubar3. It works for other apps fine - mostly.
Latest ubar3 / Firefox / ElCapitan

Another thing going on with Firefox: even if 2 or more windows are open, Ubar behaves as if only one was opened. There is no window grouping or anything, it just appears as if there was only one window!

Does uBar completely replace the Dock or do I just move it to the side, top, etc. out of the way? I stumbled on a video of an older version (I think) and uBar was running at the bottom and the dock was just stuck over to the right with hiding turned on so anytime you went to the right side of the screen, it would pop out. Is this still the case or can the dock be disabled completely while running uBar?

Usually the Dock is set to auto-hide and set to another side. After that, it can be effectively permanently hidden with a single terminal command: https://brawersoftware.com/support/articles/7

I've noticed a rather annoying behavior: whenever you switch to an application (which was previously minimized), it first activates fine, but then blinks. It does not happen when focus is on the application which is being minimized/restored. And with Firefox it happens all the time. To better explain, I've recorded a video, which is available at:

Also, option "Clicking the active app hides it" does not work. Whether this checkbox is ticked or not, active applications are always being hidden.

In addition, some applications do not respect borders of ubar3 - when you maximize them, they are overlapped by ubar. In such cases, restarting the ubar after the application has launched helps. This never happens with the dock.

I'm running ubar 3.1.6, OSX 10.11.4 on a 15 MBP Mid 2014

Would be nice at least to receive some feedback regarding mentioned above problems. I've paid for the software, but cannot really use it (nor can I refund it - sadly). For the moment I am back to using default OSX dock, which does not have mentioned issues.

Bug report: Not sure what caused it, but sometimes the preview image displayed is corrupted. (10.10.5)

Also, is there a feature to show uBar on all monitors?

Hi,

First, thank you for the great software!

I have a question, a feature request and a bug report :)

Question: Is there a way to change uB start button with user defined .png image?

Feature request: Please add the ability to re-order of apps on the taskbar by simply dragging them to left/right (similar to Windows/Gnome taskbar)

Bug report: uBar doesn't hide with fullscreen apps in the same screen (not in separate screen). To reproduce - open youtube and play any video in full screen. Alternatively install Plex Home Theater and switch to full screen via the "\" key.

Thanks,
Mihail

Hello, I recently joined the team of the uBar 3 happy users :D

Also have few questions - first, will repeat the screamerbg one: Is there a way to change uB start button with user defined .png image? - really would like to see this feature implemented, in case not possible with .png file at least add more options f.e. :apple: - Apple logo.

Another one suggestion - is it possible to have all year calendar months, and change them similar to Windows task bar calendar.

And one bug report - I am Lotus Notes user, I have integrated IBM instant messenger, called Sametime - sometimes the window grouping not working after opening the ST chat window, and I have to restart uBar - after restart everything is ok.

Cheers.

Being able to rearrange favourites by dragging them around would a nice addition. The right click 'move forward/back' feels a bit slow & clunky when you want to do several moves of the same icon.

Bug: uBar shows the wrong badge count / sometimes no badge at all for Airmail - screenshot below comparing OS X Dock to uBar.

Edit: Bug: Fabric despite showing in the dock, does not show in uBar at all unless you quit & relaunch uBar. As soon as you quit Fabric though the bug comes back and you have to repeat the relaunch.

Does anyone know if this is still in development? It seems a bit buggy under Sierra and there seems to be a distinct lack of activity compared to what there once was from the developer on this forum & Twitter.
