Yep, crickets.

Maybe TabLauncher? it was just updated for Sierra. Or SuperTab.

I love uBar! I am currently on the trial version and thinking about buying it, however I am unable to get the default dock to disappear. How do you do that?

Hi,

I think the setting is in the Advanced tab in the uBar Settings. It's a toggle if I remember correctly. It gives the Dock a command that you would have to set in the Terminal but uBar does it for you.

Remember to turn the toogle back if you uninstall uBar to get the Dock back on track.

Hyperdock is working quite well in Sierra for me, if you are enamored of the window preview thing. Ubar isn't working very well for me. Sigh.

Figured I'd go straight to the horse's mouth instead of guessing based on Tweet dates....so I sent an email to the "contact us" link on the uBar website.

Is the product abandoned? No word on Sierra compatibility - reading the forums, some say the current version is buggy with it.

Hi everyone, version 3.2.5 was just released with Sierra compatibility. Under 3.2.4, tooltips were mis-drawing.

The fix took 3 months because Sierra/Xcode 8 brought about 2 changes, the combination of which made it impossible to compile for Sierra:

1) A change in Auto Layout default behaviour which caused the ElCap/Xcode 7 source to not run.
2) An Xcode 8 bug that made it impossible to debug the issue (or even fully understand what it was).

After raising the issue with them, Apple has finally fixed that bug in an Xcode update, which has in turn allowed us to quickly solve the problem and compile for Sierra.

uBar 4 was supposed to be released in October, but the Sierra issue made that impossible. On the other-hand, it's given us a lot of time to work on really great new features, which are all top requests. I'll reveal the top one: plugin/extensions for Control Modules. uBar 4 will not only have corresponding modules for Apple menu extras like Sound and Wifi, it will be possible for App developers to make them as well. We'll be making the API available to developers before the launch so they can have a head-start.

Another thing is that the user-base has gotten to a point that I can't possibly handle all the correspondence myself. So we've setup a Help Center, and now have dedicated customer support.

Interesting but all Geek Speak to me. I have no idea
what 3.2.5 application is or how to install it or where it is located.

Great. This'll be the first thing I install on my new 2015 that's coming in tomorrow then. Looking forward to version 4.

Seems like there's a lot of issues going on with a lot of the APIs Apple has made for macOS and iOS as of late.

Love the newer update to uBar but it's hard to get rid of apps that either crash or lauch on logon and doesn't add their appicon to the Dock like OneDrive by Microsoft. OneDrive doesn't silently exit uBar and getting rid of the icon is near impossible next of quitting uBar after the initial launch of uBar. OneDrive is just one example that I noticed more than once the other day and made me return to the Apple Dock for the time being.

uBar can't replace the Dock but be a support app to same in its current state. I hope that uBar 4 brings down the house. :D

I just registered uBar and I'm enjoying its functionality.

The one aspect that I find frustrating is the Finder taskbar entry: it's always there, even if I have no Finder windows open. When I open a first Finder window, the taskbar entry changes to reflect that window; if I open additional windows, I get additional taskbar entries. That's all good... but when they're all closed, I still have one windowless Finder taskbar entry.

Is there any way to change that behavior?

Hi all,

Just purchased ubar 3 and I love it. However I would like to change the menu icon (which is now the uB icon). Any idea how to do this? On the webpage it says that I need to look at the ~/Library/Application Support/uBar/Icons folder but that folder does not exist.

You can just make it and drop your custom PNGs. They should show up after you restart uBar.

@sfsdfd That would be the norm behavior because the Finder is always open, it works the same way as in the OS X Dock.

Thanks, do you know how I have to name the icon? I would like to replace the uB icon on the bar. Thanks

The menu buttons are actually in /Applications/uBar.app/Contents/Resources as

BarMenuIconLightMedium.tiff
BarMenuIconLightSmall.tiff
BarMenuIconMedium.tiff
BarMenuIconSmall.tiff

You can't override them with the Icon system at this point.

Ok so this means I cannot change the menu button at this point?
