14“ with 10/16 and 1tb ordered - arrival 26.

i did not prepare myself for so many options too choose from.

could have gone basemodel, but 1tb is the perfect excuse for an upgrade.

fingers crossed for not too many early adopter issues.

ps: dates slipped so fast, but as always the iPad store app worked perfectly

Space Grey 14” M1 Pro 10/16, 32gb RAM, 2TB SSD winging it’s way to me Nov 4 - 8, UK. Exciting!

Do you think I’ll see much of an improvement from my 2013 rMBP…? XD

Took many, many attempts loading bag.

Even the UniDays website was timing out!

Got there in the end although I had 7 laptops in my bag by the time I got to the final steps in checkout.

I went for a base unit - I don't need any more storage or RAM, I just need CPU cores for my work and the larger screen. Added my M1 MacBook Air as a trade-in as its hassle free.
Wait, is there discount via UNiDAYS? Nothing came up for me?

Surprised me how much the app was struggling. You’d expect less traffic than an iPhone launch (which was fairly smooth for me), but I just kept getting errors!
And also somewhat surprised dates are already slipping…
The store was super smooth for me. Got a 16 inch MAX 32/512. But, yeah, it won't get here until the first week of December. Oh, well. No coal in Tim's stocking. Unless it slips.

Oops - this is the UK thread, and I'm in the US. Never mind.

Anyone notice how these are shipping with USB-C power adapters and not MagSafe?

EDIT - Possibly not, looks like Magsafe 3 is USB-C to Magsafe

God just had a mini heart attack!

Was pretty sure I added my £700 of apple store vouchers but I couldn’t see it on the email confirmation!

Nearly panicked and cancelled the order to add them again (dates slipped again!).

Luckily I saw my order history one the apple store app which shows them applied!

Website and education store was slammed, but got a 8-11 Nov delivery window.

Close to base model, silver 14" with 512GB, 16GB, 10-core CPU/14-Core GPU M1 Pro.

Update. Cancelled my order and reordered via UNiDAYS. Now cost me £1708.80 which is a reasonable price and will be selling my current MacBook for around £500. So 1200 in total for the base 14” is a pretty good deal if I’m honest.

Wow quite a few options to choose from! Ordering through TOTUM was easy: 14” SG M1 Pro with a 10 core CPU, 16 core GPU and 1TB+16GB RAM

Arriving on Tuesday next week- TOTUM’s website went live before the App Store on my iPhone

I changed my order to a 1TB SSD. Still couldn't justify the 32GB RAM though! It was only an extra £180 and I know I'll immediately eat-up a lot of the disk with VMs.

Just ordered a 14” M1 Pro 10/16, 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD. Should be a tad quicker than my trusty base 2014 13” MBP.
Did think about going 2TB but £400 for 1TB of storage is silly and my current storage needs are about 300gb.
Hopefully this new Mac will last me another 7+ years.
