App kept giving me an error, ended up ordering with Safari in my 2012 Retina MacBook Pro which will be replaced next week! How fitting…

I've never seen the Apple site struggling so much with a product launch, let alone a new Mac rather than iPhone.

Wow, I was not prepared for these prices. Current MacBook Pro is 16GB but that was the top option, do I stick with that or upgrade to 32 for £400!

Trying to decide if I need to go for 32gb unified memory or stick with 16gb.

Coming from an 8gb 2018 intel, so either are going to be a decent leap forward.

Boom! Base 14.2”, bumped to 1TB (with Apple Care) coming between the 29th October and 2nd Nov - for once I am hoping it will be late, as still on holiday on the 29th...

I wasn’t expecting to have more chip choice than just Pro/Max, but as I already bust through my theoretical price ceiling I stuck with what I expect are the “reject” chips with fewer CPU/GPU cores.

I’m coming from a 2010 i3 iMac with a spinning HDD - my mind is going to be blown!

Yup. Prices are ridiculous. I’m not a PRO user. But the base specs will 100% be suitable for what I need and will handle iMovie perfectly fine.

God the store has been a problem! App on phone struggling and on my missus 16” it never loaded.

Finally got it ordered but slipped to 4-8th!

14” M1 Max
32gb ram
1TB SSD

Forgot about apple care lol

Went for a base 16" for 2 & 1/2.

But for those who need it (and can afford it) the power is there. An understatement.

Sticking with my 16" i9 until the M1 Max comes to iMac - I want to replace my laptop with an iMac since it never leaves my desk!

Yes, I had to use my iphone. It never even worked on the desktop. Last page I got was 'Oops' or something like that. White blank page with Oops. **** it.

Geesh, I hope they straightened that out. This place will become unpleasant if they didn't.

Even the UniDays website was timing out!

Got there in the end although I had 7 laptops in my bag by the time I got to the final steps in checkout.

I went for a base unit - I don't need any more storage or RAM, I just need CPU cores for my work and the larger screen. Added my M1 MacBook Air as a trade-in as its hassle free.

Surprised me how much the app was struggling. You’d expect less traffic than an iPhone launch (which was fairly smooth for me), but I just kept getting errors!
And also somewhat surprised dates are already slipping…
