@Jinjin yeah looks like it's arrived at the logistics hub but not in enough time to be put on the lorry out to your local depot for delivery today bad luck
As for me I'm at "waiting to leave Shanghai" status...could be today or the weekend
Maybe I'm out of the game but I bought Dell gaming spec monitors.Been looking at 4k monitor as my ultrawide makes its way back. Any recommendations?
The sell u2720 seems to rate highly
Ah thanks! What was the expected due date?
If you look at the first post, you’ll see a direct link to the post here where I have been tracking peoples orders. You’ll get an idea of the timelines from that
I'm starting to think that'll happen to me as well. I ordered the 16" 1TB with 64GB (M1 Max, 32 cores), with delivery window set to 29th Nov - 6th Dec, and there has been no movement at all...Hi, I just had news that my MBP 16” 2TB With 64GB is delayed until the 10-14 Dec
I’m in my original delivery window which was 25th Nov - 2nd Dec.
Real bummer. Wish they had notified earlier!
Beware with the Dell: I'm just about to return mine, it's got a loose / not properly applied lower bezel (the power light actually shines through a gap next to the screen!), a couple of pretty bad light leaks and the left and right thirds of the screen are yellowish compared to the centre - not very marked but definitely noticeable. If you get a good one I think it'd be a decent display, but all these issues seem to be fairly common with them based on the online reviews. The bezel I could live with (well, could probably live with all 3 issues individually) but for the price I'm not going to put up with all 3.Been looking at 4k monitor as my ultrawide makes its way back. Any recommendations?

always go from scratch here. all my files/docs are in iCloud so its just a case of reinstalling apps. having loads of devtools and libraries installed all over the Mac means its a perfect time to purge and clean upOut of curiosity who here is doing a time machine rebuild and who is doing a from scratch rebuild ?
I'm doing a from scratch build as I'm pretty sure I've got a lot of software that needs upgrading for Apple Silicon so thought best to have a fresh start and pull ove rmy photos / work files / music
looking at the European thread its a similar situation tooHi, I just had news that my MBP 16” 2TB With 64GB is delayed until the 10-14 Dec

that 64gb ram seems to be the bottleneckI'm starting to think that'll happen to me as well. I ordered the 16" 1TB with 64GB (M1 Max, 32 cores), with delivery window set to 29th Nov - 6th Dec, and there has been no movement at all...
thanks for this. I saw a lot of those comments about the bottom bezels too.Beware with the Dell: I'm just about to return mine, it's got a loose / not properly applied lower bezel (the power light actually shines through a gap next to the screen!), a couple of pretty bad light leaks and the left and right thirds of the screen are yellowish compared to the centre - not very marked but definitely noticeable. Costco price on the 14” M1 Pro 10/16/16/1TB is actually cheaper than the EDU Store by £78.81p.So what is the best black Friday deal people have come across? Seems like it is Costco for the time being or the EDU Store for students.
I got my Dell from Amazon, their returns policy is pretty good so no harm giving it a try if you want to. There's really nothing out there that's ideal at a reasonable price, unfortunately: the XDR is just too costly for me, can't justify that price really. LG UltraFine 5K seems to be discontinued (at least nowhere has them at the moment, even though they're still listed on the LG site). Might try a LG 32UN880, they seem to get good reviews - Amazon are out of stock at the moment though.thanks for this. I saw a lot of those comments about the bottom bezels too.
its becoming difficult to find a suitable monitor to give that retina like text display. I'm leaning towards just keeping the UltraWide at this point and living with the drop of in res
edit: looks like its available on amazon... half tempted to give it a try and see

looking more in to that Dell, I've come across the BENQ PD3220u... its the top end of size for me and price! Again, seeing really good reviews and it has a built in KVM feature which would address my current challenge of switching between MacBooks when in picture by picture.I got my Dell from Amazon, their returns policy is pretty good so no harm giving it a try if you want to. If you're looking at that price range you could consider something from the Asus ProArt line too.looking more in to that Dell, I've come across the BENQ PD3220u... its the top end of size for me and price! its hitting the £1k mark though... but 'only' £300 more than the UltraWide LG.

Dont think so. EDU Store price is 1942.64;Costco price on the 14” M1 Pro 10/16/16/1TB is actually cheaper than the EDU Store by £78.81p.
Ah sorry, I misread your post and thought that you were talking about educational discount from Apple, not that other company that many people here have had a very poor experience with.Dont think so. EDU Store price is 1942.64;
Costo's price is 2079.99 unless I am missing a discount code or something?
I've got a Philips P279 (27" 4K) and have been pleased with it. I particularly like that it has a network port in addition to the usual USB hub.Been looking at 4k monitor as my ultrawide makes its way back. Any recommendations?

I'm also doing a fresh start, albeit slowly. I have pulled in all of my docs from iCloud and Photos, but not my iTunes library or development projects. I need to do some research on how to go from iTunes to Music/Podcasts etc.Out of curiosity who here is doing a time machine rebuild and who is doing a from scratch rebuild ?
