I'm not in two minds if I should go 4k and forgot the UltraWide... I really do like the screen real estate but the resolution on text etc just doesn't have that crispness of what you get on a retina screen....

god, this will turn into the whole MacBook dilemma again for me! 😂
It'll only eat away at you further 😏
UW is great for gaming and nice as a second screen, but to be using something with such a (relatively) low resolution all day just isn't for me.
Plus you can get a decent 4k 27" monitor for not much money at all.

The hunt for some alternatives now begin, any recommendations would be always appreciated!

I k ow it’s the DPI that helps too when it comes to getting that print crisp text. Have also seen MSI have an ultra wide with 5120 x 2610 in a 34”

It’s not going to be 4k but better than the 3440 x 1440 on the lg

Annoyingly I’ve seen a mark on my new monitor so that’s going to have to go back too :(

Dang man! That sucks. That's annoying it be there. Maybe it's on the screen? Did you wipe it off or something?

Guys, apologies, I don't have time to review the entire discussion, but as a guide, how long is DHL taking to ship from China to the UK.

My MBP was picked up yesterday but remains as 'picked up' with no delivery ETA.

Not panicking, but I'm going away on Monday and can seriously see this coming early next week (the original delivery ETA was 13 December so it's shipped early!).

It’s normally 5 or 6 days from China. Do you have an updated delivery estimate from Apple?

UPS tracking is a bit of a mess! Now it’s just left cologne. No sign of it ever leaving Shanghai or even getting to South Korea

It’s it’s now on way to the UK I still might get it tomorrow.

So my hope that your delivery could revert to Friday seems a distinct possibility. That’s great news.

I have to say that I’ve had a couple of experiences recently of delivery dates being delayed and then reverting back. Not sure what’s going on with UPS.

It has been pretty hit and miss! Now I need to look back and see what others had. Pretty sure people had it then go to Stanford-or-hope by road.

The usual ups flight to East Midlands was at 2am so it wasn’t on that

Anyone with a recent UPS delivery do the Cologne to Stanford or hope route? A pic of your departure and arrival times would be appreciated!

I think LazyWhippet and amack yours both did?

Mine still shows estimated arrival of Dec 8th, but order is still “processing.” How can it still be processing? When do they charge my credit card? Still no charge and we are almost in December. I’m in the US, if that helps. Wondering what’s going on. I placed my order on Oct 22nd, and it’s been “processing since.”

Mine got charged a few days before it was 'preparing to ship'.
