Worth me deleting the microSIM from the order you reckon?
I ordered at about 4am and got a confirmation e-mail within an hour.
I ordered with a debit card (Maestro) but nothing taken from my account yet. Just checked online. Should I be concerned?
I ordered a 32gb wifi only and a case. The wording for the case is 'estimated ship by May 28th' whereas the ipad is 'delivers by May 28th' as is the overall estimate at the top. Is the case likely to delay the ipad delivery?
Did you ask about the micro sims? It seems extraordinarily strange if adding a micro sim which the 3G needs would delay the delivery of the iPad.
I did ask online customer services however the lady on there was still trying to sell me the iPad after I told her I had ordered one so I'm not convinced in what she said being accurate but what she told me was that the micro sims are not going to delay delivery for the 28th.
You need to add VAT.
Works out about the same with nil shipping costs.
Will Apple have enough UK stock to honour all pre-orders?
They must know how many units they will have. Will they continue to take pre-orders after that stock is allocated?
I'm not sure what their policy is.
I ordered seconds after the store came back online after the update so if it's first come first served then I should be ok.
People really expect the iPad to be cheaper in the UK than it is in the US?i do however feel it is way overpriced. low end starting price for the 16gb version should be in the £299 bracket

Reading reviews about the device it does put me off not being able to multitask. I can deal with having to exit the browser to write a email or do other things. But if i can't have the ipod feature running and browse the web at the same time i might skip it and wait for it to ship with iphone 4.0 installed which should fix this task. Or does it allow this like the ipod touch and iphone. i do however feel it is way overpriced. low end starting price for the 16gb version should be in the £299 bracket
Ah so the apple U.S stores prices are subject to my old enemy VAT. So you pay 429 usd then add VAT on top, i really hate that if thats the case. If its x amount tell me its x amount don't entice me with a price then add the Vat after
I couldn't seem to get mine pre-ordered it was weird, got calls from the bank saying it seemed fraudulent! guess i'll just go to the nearest apple store and get mine there on the first day!
Well if its like the US Launch they will continue to take pre-orders but the date will change from delivers by 28th May.
