Just noticed I got an EE DPD link on email at 12.33pm and when I click on it says 'Return to consignor has been requested' so that's good as I tried to cancel yesterday but the advisor said they needed to raise a cancellation form as it had already been picked. Doesn't look like it has even left EE so saves me the hassle of returning. Just need to be sure they refund me my £50 up front payment as would prefer it back on my card than credited to my account.

Now slightly regretting an in store pick up as I'll need to get out my bed earlier than usual to make it in time for 8-8.30am slot but that said I thought I was reserving for IUP and it turns out I picked outright purchase! And let's face it if you are going for that slot you really want to be there for 8am store opening.

Quick one. I'm picking tomorrow from Apple store a pre-ordered iPhone Pro. Any chance that they'll have available the new Apple Watch? Seems unavailable online for a week or so...

Damn! It appears I am getting my Apple delivery by DPD. It also appears Apple (according to customer service) have disabled the ability to allow people to upgrade to pre-10am for all of their deliveries, so it means I am stuck waiting at home all day!

Oh Well, perhaps my USB3 adapter will arrive before hand from Amazon, and then the transfers from old to new should be quick enough!

Yay I received my dispatch note from Carphone Warehouse. Nothing showing on DPD yet though.

By the way CPW are still doing £50 extra trade in value when you trade in an iPhone at same time as ordering a iPhone 11/Pro. Hopefully getting £510 for iPhone X 256GB.

Does DPD offer GPS tracking on the app so we can tel exactly how far away the driver is?

I booked a day off for this.

Just found out that DHL are delivering mine.. never had anything from DHL I don’t think!

Do they give you a one hour window does anyone know?

Thanks!

They do indeed, they’re my favourites to be honest!

Yes they do. It may even be a UKMail van. I'm not sure if the rebrand is fully rolled out

Pretty sure they give you a 2 hour slot with tracking

I’ve never had an iPhone delivered buy them before but that’s how it is with other stuff I bought

Re DPD and early delivery.... it was disabled as an option for me too.

but I had the free option to get it delivered to a DPD shop that is a 5 min drive away and it says it will be available for pick up after noon... sometimes arrives earlier from experience... they just email a pick up QR code once delivered. Done this before.

they show the time it should be delivered by before you actually confirm.

May be an option for those hoping for an AM delivery

I have order processing but nothing after that. That was last Friday when I ordered.

I’ve just checked their twitter customer service page and someone else has asked about this. Still looks like it’s on track for delivery tomorrow.

I wonder if they are dispatching by type/colour, as this person looks to have ordered slightly before me

Well my head hurts now. I initially bought the Pro Max from Apple, then after a change of mind went with the Pro from Currys on interest free. I cancelled the Apple order (max) and thought I was sorted.

Today I discover both are being delivered tomorrow anyway, so after some more thought I have finally decided to keep the Max and send the Pro back to Currys. It's an extra £100 for the Max and I've managed the XS Max for 12 months with no issues. I've also just been offered a great balance transfer deal on one of my cards so can effectively have the Max on installments too anyway.

I cancelled the Max with Apple over the phone the other day and was told it was no problem, that it wouldn't arrive and had an email telling me that they were going to cancel it. It was only then I went with the Currys option. Annoyingly Apple didn't appear to give buyers (well me anyway) the option to cancel orders like it normally does using the app or online.

It does mean I have a spare Spigen Pro case as I ended up with a Max and a Pro, oh and screen protectors for both.

I have been reliably informed that I need to accept the Pro and not refuse it, then have it collected for return. Apparently refusing means it does get back to the originator but slower than it would if I have it collected.

Just got a text from DHL stating 48 hour service and a delivery date of 23/9

Tracking page confirms this 😡

Surely any courier would limit the amount of upgrades in one area due to the physical limits of the driver. If you are getting refused then it means there are enough early deliveries that yours cannot be accommodated rather than Apple setting courier restraints.

Has anyone else got two tracking numbers for one phone? (Currys)
