Bigger queue this year compared to last year at the Birmingham store...

One one year I did queue up at an Apple store for my timed slot I was amazed at how many in the "just turn up" queue appeared to have brought every family member they have so they could get two each.

I'd imagine most of those expecting deliveries will get their predicted times within the next hour. Liverpool DPD depot hasn't moved for me, or at least no update. DHL was out at 6:30am.

Quick question if anyone knows the answer. I’m planning on using the quick start / migration tool to setup the new phone as still have my X. Do I need to unpair my watch first with this method, or only after it’s done? Can’t seem to find any reference to it online.

Good luck to everyone getting their phones today! Going to be an exciting day! Held off iOS 13 so it’s a fresh experience on the new kit!!

When’s the earliest DPD give delivery windows? App says from 11am:oops:

I don't think Middleton DPD have clocked in yet.

Given the increased availability of iPhones now (no madness like the weeks to deliver after launch day with the 4), I can't understand why the scalpers bother, can't be much money in it. If they're sending to countries that don't have the phones on release day that might be something I guess.

Aaaghh had a nightmare, I thought I'd removed activation lock from my iPhone X (sent to O2 Recycle, received this morning) but got an email from Apple saying "Activation Lock is requesting your password on iPhone".

I removed from iCloud.com immediately which fixes it, but I'm scared they're just going to send it back! Does anyone have any experience with this?

See, already getting reports of bigger queues.

I really hope walk ins don’t get mixed up with reservations. I don’t want to be queuing for hours when I already went through the stress at 1pm last Friday getting a reservation!

On another note, this is the first time I’m getting rid of my current phone at exactly the same time I get a new one. When selling myself I’ve always held onto my old phone for a few weeks to iron out anything. Giving up and being ‘phoneless’ For a few hours before I set up a new one is gonna be weird.

I’m also tempted for the first time to restore from backup rather than set up as new, save some app logins...

My DHL shipment is out for delivery but I haven't been sent a delivery window and I don't get detailed tracking (driver is on delivery x of y) like one of the posters above :(

To my knowledge there are separate queues

DPD gave me a 9.16 slot this morning! Well excited now!!!

Shame I’m stuck in London due to an emergency at work 😕😕😕
