yup, miss the additional grip from the silicone! the clear case feels like its going to fly off the sofa/bed or wherever its laying.

I used to but I got tired of worrying about the battery. I just charge it whenever I feel like it TBH - its never had a negative effect on the battery as far as I can tell.
So are we in agreement about the best way to set-up new iPhones (especially those with Apple Watch)
It seems more people are starting from scratch. iCloud brings in all data - pics, messages, keychain etc.
What doesn’t it include? Apps? So you have to re-download them all again or is it just the App data?
I like the idea of being up and running quickly.
Also, does anyone know if you can add an eSim plan during set-up?

I'd say it is more emerald than camo / khaki green but it is understated. I am really liking it.

Mine seems to have started on the 13th (pre-order day).
I'll be calling them later and asking them to change it to today, when I received the phone.
They have always just changed it over without question in the past - lets get that extra week we are entitled to! lol

If you set up as new you need to re-download all your apps, yes - also need to rearrange them to your liking as your previous home screen arrangement won't carry over and you'll lose any app data that's only held locally, not synced to a cloud service. If you do a restore from backup it re-downloads all the apps anyway, but the home screen layout and app data is preserved.
Hope everyone enjoys their new phones! I’m waiting for a couple of weeks until my IUP upgrade date, really want to see the colours in store. Was set on the Midnight Green, but that silver is very pretty. Had a silver 7+, X and XS though so wanted to switch it up, but worried I’ll regret it.

I’m also fairly certain you can scan the QR code provided during set up for eSIM.
After chatting to the very helpful Alexander on the EE live chat, he's cancelled my original order for the 11 Pro Max Midnight Green 64GB after finding out there's a 14 day waiting list, and have a 256GB model coming instead, and it'll be here tomorrow. Only an extra few quid a month too. I'd suggest doing this if you're still waiting for the 64GB model through EE.
Close, gone from the XS Max to the 11. The screen is better than I expected but these bezels are actually quite a bit thicker than I thought. Wanted to reduce the footprint of my phone but not sure this goes far enough for me personally.
Said to myself I'd give it a shot for the 14 day return window, but that might indeed be what I do. Will give it a few days.

Used the migration tool and had mine up and running in 40 minutes, all settings carried over. Quite impressed.
EDIT: Needed to download apps, but for the most part all settings working, all logged in. Just online banking to set up as you'd expect.

..if you were hoping that the iPhone 11 would be better than the XS, I think you will be disappointed.
Some of the internals may be better on the 11 but if you're comparing screen quality (and let's be honest, it's all about the screens these days), all you need to do is look at the stats for both iPhones to see the XS is much much better :
Liking it a lot too... in certain light I find it can almost pass for space grey too... 2 in 1!
The one thing I do miss from my silver XS is that the bare stainless steel band made the screen bezel appear a bit thinner.
Although now with the full screen design I’d take any colour to be honest.
