iPhone 11 UK iPhone 11/11 Pro/11 Pro Max (2019) Orders and Dispatch Thread

Got my iPhone 11 today (white, 128gb). I'm coming from the XS Max. I like it a LOT more than I thought I would. Size is perfect and for me, there's not much difference in screen quality at all.
My MG 11pro arrived bang in the middle of the delivery window. And the missus’ purple 11 arrived at the same time.
Restore from iCloud backup is going well, I should have deleted lots of apps on the old phone beforehand, taking ages to complete. Oh well
all iMessages etc synced very quickly. And also, all 499 tabs I had open in Safari are now also open on the new phone. Kinda a shame, I would have used that as an excuse just to forget them and start from scratch. But now I’m still going to have to go through them and see if there’s anything useful there (can’t bring myself to just close them all without checking first)
Hope everyone that’s got their phones are enjoying them, and for those still waiting, Hope they come soon!

This one is so much less slippery!! I tend to go caseless but had to get one last year because it kept dropping from the arm of my chair and I almost dropped it a few times! I bought a clear case for this one but it’s actually more slippery with the clear case than without so naked it is 😀

So instead of sitting with my new toy.. I am waiting until tomorrow. I was 15 mins away from delivery when the courier rang - I had to wrong postal code (what an idiot). The 2 had been missed so it was in the centre of Leeds instead of outside my place of work. Luckily John Lewis had stock of the one I wanted and I will have it tomorrow (with 2 year guarantee so some bonus).
yes, my downloaded music section looks intact
some apps needed to be signed in again, and my podcast app (overcast) needed to redownload the podcasts - but had synced everything so the state was restored.
Came form an iPhone X myself and honestly the screen is a lot lot better than I expected it to be, Ive had my X and the 11 next to each other’s and I couldn’t obviously see any difference at all

so after people saying check your coverage of apple care.... i checked mine to see when it started to find out its not even been applied to my phone.... been on to apple for over an hour and they are clueless
Like I said last year with my watch they had to refund me and I had to order it again using my device.
Taken me all afternoon setting up (coming from Android so set up as new) and now it's all done I just absolutely love it.

Strange thing - I had an order placed with Three which I cancelled yesterday - before any dispatch or anything.
Anyway they confirmed on the phone the upfront cost would go back in in around 4 days and that it was all cancelled.
But today I've had a text to say my order has a delay and will be with me in a few days. 🤨

Hoping someone can help. Got my green iPhone 11 this morning and did a restore from my old iPhone. Everything went well and it looked like it had finished downloading all my apps too until I discovered that nearly 20 apps have a little cloud symbol by the app name. When you press on the app it says “Unable to install (app name). This app could not be installed”.
These are standard apps such as Tripadvisor, Skype, Facebook etc so it can’t be the case that the apps are not compatible with iOS 13. I have tried re-starting the phone, signing out/in of the AppStore, and checking the “offloaded” apps in Settings but nothing seems to work.
Anyone else experiencing the same or know how to solve this please?

got it sorted finally, i was on apple chat for some time, transferred between a few people, then told to ring a number, they took 47mins of my time to be passed about to be finally transferred to a helpful Irish lady who sorted it out for me, she attached it to my device and corrected the start date, as it was originally the 14th

I queued up once at cribbs for the 6S. Got there about 7.30am I think. Kind of fun but much prefer the sit back and wait for the delivery now. Too lazy 😂
I’m currently waiting in the queue at the Brent Cross Apple store behind a whole bunch of other people with the same pickup time slot as me. I’ve checked in and now need to wait for my turn.
Hard reboot, try again. If that fails (maybe because the app store is being hammered?) then you can either just wait or, if it were me, I'd go into the app store, search for it under "purchased" and click to download it there. That may work as it should be prioritised over getting the offloaded versions.

Picked up our phones early and managed to swap colours for the missus. The staff were unbelievably helpful. Cannot thank them enough. Run off their feet all day but still providing the best customer service I’ve known.

Update to yesterday:
Just had my delayed amazon order dispatched (which they automatically gave me £10 for on a gift card), the phone is coming tomorrow via RMSD.
Just spoke to a manager about the delay and asked for a free case and said it wasn't possible but he gave me a further £34 promo credit making it £44 in total, I'll be buying a leather case. Not sure what colour. Midnight Blue, Saddle Brown or black
