Come out come out wherever you are...
😃👋

It‘s almost time... ⏰ 📱 💰 ;)

Now, where’s @Dino F & @WRXiceman …? 😈

...here I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😄

I FINALLY actually own my iPhone XS after making the final iPhone Upgrade Program payment on it the other month (as you all know, I didn't upgrade to the iPhone 11 last year).

Hmmm - am I prepared to upgrade THIS year??! Now THAT'S a question.....!!!

Congrats! Must be a great feeling only paying for the sim now :)

Its a bit daunting when you realise you are setting yourself up for two more years of payments haha

I have now read this from front to back over the course of this week enjoying seeing all speculating ordering and finally receiving devices. I must say its been enjoyable looking through this journey and I have been both envious and excited for those owing closy to this thread and tracking orders all the way to their doorstep.

I am hoping to be going through the iPhone 12 thread and all being well I will be upgrading ang coming back to ios and iPhone since the iPhone 7 two and a half years ago.

Would love to see more images of people's store experiences especially the queues but that'll probably be next year now.

I'm still on the XS Max as I didn't upgrade last year so I'm looking forward to the iPhone 12 and all the build up.
I'm just about to pay off the last of the O2 payments for the XS Max so I'll be free to upgrade.

I traded my iPhone 11 Pro Max 64Gb in for a S20 Ultra back in Feb as having a OnePlus 7 Pro prior to the iPhone really did spoil me and I found it too hard to adjust back to a 60hz display despite all of the other benefits of having an iPhone (security, ecosystem, battery life) so hopefully if the iPhone 12 Pro has a 120hz panel then I won't even hesitate about buying one.

...well - if yesterday's leaks are anything to go by (https://www.macrumors.com/2020/07/07/iphone-12-size-comparisons/ ), you can count me out this year too.

The 12 looks almost identical to last year's 11, which didn't rock my boat. Each year, the differences between iPhones are getting less and less but the costs for these devices are getting more and more?!

Looks like I'll be sticking with my XS a little while longer, now that I actually own it (IUP all paid up!!).

I’m wondering if the 12 is delayed to eg late October - for those of us that went on the upgrade program for the 11 launch, are we better off waiting until they’re paid off around May next year and going for a 13, or paying off the 11 early and getting the 12. Paying 2-3 extra months on the 11 then swapping seems poor value - better to pay it off at that point and sell it privately?

Well my iPhone X screen started coming out of the casing. Took it to the Apple store and was told it was not the battery but the screen needed replaced. So with that, since it's a work paid phone, I had to get a phone now so I chose the silver 11 Pro Max (coming from a SG X). I figured the different color and the bigger size will make it feel .. newer and a bit different. I was trying to hold out until the 12 was released but it wasn't meant to be. Hoping my phone will be delivered next week....

Pay off early and sell the phone. You’ll always make a profit that way

The design not going back to the flat edge style of the iPhone 4 not enough? Would love it looking like that classic

I’d still be paying full price for the phone though (and 1 year AppleCare) so surely it’s more about minimising loss? I won’t get full price for the 11 especially if they drop the price after launching the 12

Selling (or at least locking in a price) with someone like Mazuma or similar will get you the best price you can expect.

Plus £100 refund from AppleCare=£800.
