I went from X to 11 Pro, and the difference in battery life and camera is pretty huge, that's enough reason for an upgrade imo. But each to their own

Agreed I did same upgrade and even one of my colleagues today was saying she could see the difference in photos I posted on social media at the weeken. Impressive given FB tend to compress images.

Just ordered iPhone 11pro max midnight green. Was not going to bother this year but changed my mind. Delivers 22-29/10, so still got time to change my mind before dispatch.

Just ordered and you have a delivery estimate of 22-29/10? 😳

I pre-ordered mine on 13/9. My expected delivery is 16-22/10 and however many times I log on to the status page every day and stare at it, it won't shift.

Not that I'm bitter and twisted and getting impatient, or anything... 😁

Hopefully, for both of us, there's a massive container ship full of iPhone 11's about to dock somewhere local...!!

Wonder why yours is taking so long.

Meanwhile, the stores have plenty of stock and get deliveries daily.

It's a question I'm asking myself daily 🙄

My "local" Apple Store now has them in stock. It would take me an hour to drive there but remains an option.

I feel like I'm the only person on the planet who pre-ordered an iPhone 11 on 13 September but has yet to receive it. 😭

I would reserve online for local store pick up and cancel your online order. The stores are not too busy since the launch was coming up for nearly two weeks ago now. :)

After using the phone for a few days, I must say I'm really enjoying it. The camera, battery and feeling of the matte back are all great!

The ultra wide lens is fantastic when there's lots of light outdoors, but my favourite new feature is night mode. Can make really great shots which you just couldn't do beforehand.

All in all, a very solid upgrade. Think it also helps that I'm changing size - the 5.8" is about perfect I think.

You're probably right. A part of me is thinking why should I spend half a day and half a tank of petrol sorting this out when I placed an online order in good faith and should've been able to receive my new device without having to go to that trouble?

I'll give it to the weekend and see if there's any movement on the online order and, if not, I might have to bite the bullet and get in the car. 🙄

I've spent enough money with Apple for this to be just a teeny bit frustrating. The online support people have been next to useless, "there's been high demand" seems to be the stock response. AppleSupport don't reply to my tweets. I feel unloved. 😢

Finally FINALLY! After 33 days, I've received my shipping notification and my iPhone 11 Pro Max is arriving tomorrow afternoon.

I realise you've all had your devices for weeks, but I felt I'd share my unbridled joy at this turn of events.

A better end to the day. It started with my kettle dying. Forget Brexit, the lack of a kettle (and therefore tea) is a major incident in anyone's life. The end of the day, a new kettle has been installed in my kitchen and I've received a nice email from Apple. What could be better?

Hi!
It’s the 20th of October... give or take, a month after the day we were all looking forward to!

Except, it didn’t work out that way.

I usually pre order via the Apple website / app (whichever works quickest) on pre order opening day. However, this year (and never again), i decided to upgrade to iPhone 11 Pro from my Xs Max by saving approx £100 via a %saving offer on a Curry’s PC World gift card.

SILLY BOY ANDY

Indeed. So, on the morning of the 14th (after a little debating over upgrading at all), i went and pre-ordered for delivery on the 20th.

I‘ve seen a few people on this thread who we’re in a fairy similar position - the 20th came along and of course there was no sign of the iPhone being dispatched.. *Cue scrambling on social media - ’where’s my iPhone!?!?!’ - to the answer (similar to other people on here) - “oh sorry, Apple didn’t send us any so you won’t be getting one until we get stock.”

OH GREAT.

Cue a phone call to the Know How team (Know Squat more like) - because of course on the 20th (and until the 21st / 22nd) Curry’s PC World were still showing space grey, silver and gold as in stock and available for same day dispatch / timed next day delivery.

NOPE

Person on the phone called around (to who I’ve no idea) and explained that they actually had none in stock at all - most, if not all models from 11 onward were either in the unreceived camp, or were simply out of stock.

So, Curry’s PC World were taking pre orders for a week with guaranteed delivery for the 20th and then on the 20th still took countless peoples cash until the 22nd when they finally showed stock as unavailable.

A few people had been sent some notice before the 20th explaining the delay with a gift card for £25. (Not too shabby I guess) and i was then also sent an email confirming this (only after kicking up a fuss online / over the phone). This was confirmed by email stating I’d then receive my phone number (on the 20th) explaining Apple hadn’t sent them enough stock and I’d get my phone the week beginning the 30th September. (Huff - but ok..fine..).

NOOOOOPE

The 30th appeared. Nothing. More contact made - to which Curry’s PC World claimed they had no further info even though they’d told me the 30th was happening... still no stock on the website.

So at this point i gave up thinking it was to appear any time soon... a little more two and fro and they suggested stock would arrive on the 20th of October.. So, i sat and waited... and then curiously on Friday the 19th Stock in Gold and Silver appeared. A glimmer of hope perhaps... so..back onto the social media - to a definitive no ‘We will not send you a gold or silver one instead of a space grey because (GUESS WHAT?!?!) YES - “They’re not actually in stock and our website is wrong.. this will be changed in an hour”

Of course, that wasn’t the case and the Gold and Silver remained ”on sale” until late Saturday the 19th.

So.. i thought, well why not - let’s try customer services over the phone. (Friday afternoon).. and after the 3rd attempt (waiting at least 10-20 mins each time), someone answered, listened to my desperate (BOO HOO) situation and basically said “yeah, ok I’ll get one out for you”

Which they did! (SHUT THE FRONT DOOR).

So finally, after countless DM’s, calls and days - i can finally join the rest of you as i am now the owner (as of today) an iPhone 11 Pro (Gold - 256gb)..

Justice Prevailed..

So, in conclusion (Btw - well done for getting this far). Do not believe Curry’s PC World if they suggest an item will arrive at pre order and DO NOT THINK you will get an item that is showing in stock.. Their poor customer service team haven’t got a clue what’s going on, they offer a random selection of answers and really don’t have a grasp on what’s happening.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK ..

But hey, there’s plenty more important things going on out there in the big wide world.. Just not the Big wide PC World.

Same time next year?

If any of you have ordered iPhone 11 Pro from EE and awaiting delivery etc. If you want the device to be unlocked without paying EE and waiting for 6 months follow the following steps. I can confirm this works as I did it on my iPhone 11 Pro. Running EE and O2.

1. Get an EE esim
2. Activate the iPhone with no sim
3. Add EE esim plan (once that is up and running)
4. Insert other carrier/network sim card in sim tray.
5. You are all done.
6. To confirm the status go to your MY EE account and look for link Unlock My Phone. Put your physical sim card imei and not EE Sim imei. You will get a message this device is already unlocked.

I'm having a lot of problems with data connectivity and my 11 Pro. It says 4G but nothing works. All data stops. VoLTE seems to be ok though. Happening on my Vodafone and EE eSIM. Apple won't help as i'm running the beta. Anyone else experiencing issues?

Update to 13.2 public release, and then they’ll help?

coming from a Note 10+, just wanted to see what the hype was about :)

i looked at other sites like Very and Carphone Warehouse and none in stock.

I was in an Apple Store yesterday and looking at the iPhone 11 Pro up close and personal - my opinion of course but boy is it an ugly looking device.....

The 3 cameras on the back just look hideous as did the midnight green colour, just what were they thinking??? o_O

I'm so glad I stayed with my iPhone XS....

I love my midnight green pro with three camera lens! Hubbie got the Silver last weekend through his work and the white back is nice. I had been torn between the green and silver at launch but both are unlocked so theoretically could swap. We Are both using transparent cases but I I’ll probably change soon in which case it won’t really matter.

Glad you’re pretty content with your XS though.
