I seem to remember that the reservation is good for the entire day, the timings are an effort to smooth out people arriving over time. I was stuck in traffic for last year’s IUP reservation, arrived 30 mins late & apologising profusely, was told it was no issue at all and to join the line.

I think anything reserved and not collected by the end of the day is added to the stock for walk in buyers and others to reserve. You could always call the store well ahead to time to verify/clarity though.

With the in-store collection, do they charge your card when you collect it, or when it ships?

I’d be worried about a fake pouch in case the magnet wiped my bank card. Apple sound like they have out some effort in to stop that but I’m not sure all the sellers will have taken the tome to do that.... I’m sure they will in time however
There is that I suppose. Quite a lot of wallets and purses have magnet clasps sink suppose as long as they are not using industrial strength magnets they should be alright. I’d be more worried about the magnet on the HD of the phone rather than my bank card lol.

For IUP, when you collect - part of the enrolment/renewal process is paying the £69 upfront fee in-store. Couldn’t say for in-store collection of outright iPhone purchases. When I ordered an iPad Air + Airpods for collection earlier this year, I was charged when I ordered, ahead of collection.

Is there any decent clear TPU cases available for the 12 anyone seen any?

least the 20w plug is on queue with Apple it will be here Wednesday lmao 😂

Spigen TPU Clear iPhone 12/12 Pro case was going for £7.99

Good to hear! Do you have to input any payment details/delivery details etc or is that all done during the pre-authorisation?
Yes mate they ask you to confirm delivery address, not payment details. Delivery address is pre filled with whatever you have setup in the Apple store app.
Or you can select in-store pickup.

I guess transactions can be done in store on spot. I did some item exchange in-store and straight away update the refund process for item return and charge for new item which is same price. And receipt sent to your mail.

I did my order as soon as I could on the App (about 1.05pm with confirmation at 1.06pm) for a iPhone 12 Pro 128Gb Blue. neither site nor App was loading for me until then.

No luck for launch day though as I get a "5 - 7 business days" in the status now (it says 26-28 Oct during order)

will be interesting to see that happens. I have an apple order too for the blue, the amazon was graphite. I imagine the 128bg for 849 would not be a loss to amazon its only £150 difference in price, and could gain more loyalty from those customers.

150 per phone is a massive hit even for Amazon

In store-collection activity query:

I will be bringing trade-in of my current iPhone for store collection.
Is it too much of asking if I do the iCloud transfer side by side with new phone in store and wipe the trade-in phone data/iCloud details after?

my order now on hold waiting for the Barclays application approval(which was done Wednesday and approved I have the emails) looks like my delivery date won't be Friday now!!!
