Good luck with your purchase. As I do every year, I made the decision at a pretty early stage that I would not be upgrading this year.
So today I ordered an iPhone 12. My delivery date is "two to three weeks", which is slightly frustrating.
I currently have an SE 2020, having weirdly traded down from an iPhone 11 Pro Max because it was just too big and heavy. I was pretty clear that I didn't need a new phone. But the regular 12 blue is just so pretty. And I do miss the better cameras that the 11 series had compared with my SE.
I'm the kind of person who would normally go for the Pro, but I've tried to be more sensible with money recently and they've made the regular 12 too good. The only thing I'm missing with the regular 12 is the third lens. I think it could be quite fun to have it, but not £200 of fun. (Well, £150. I went with the 128GB.)
If I could wind back the clock a year, knowing what I know now, I would have bought the iPhone 11 Pro, normal size, and I'd probably stick with it and not upgrade.
My one concern about moving to the 12 is battery life. The battery life on the SE is awful, so I have the Smart Battery Case. (Which ironically makes it even heavier than the 11 Pro Max it replaced because the 11 Pro Max was "too heavy".) So I currently get enough electric juice to easily last me a full day.
I'm not sure the 12 will do so. It claims 17 hours of video, I think. Hmm. I wonder.
I'm kinda excited about the Mag Safe thing. I ordered the charging puck thing. And the transparent case.
Retailers such as AO might have it for next week order, depending on configuration.
If you wanted a red one, I can sell it to you as I have two phones coming and I can't cancel it.

Sorry, I amended my post to state I can't add on the AppleCare in instalments. I know I can add it on if I pay for the AppleCare in full.
