Other UK iPhone 12/12 Pro/12 Pro Max (2020) Orders and Dispatch Thread

With the iphone plus and max sizes before it has been hard for me to reach the top of the screen. Its basically a 2 hand device for me.
However ios14 introduces some features that maybe makes this larger size interesting again.
For example widgets. Now you dont need to reach for the top for apps on the home screen because you can use that area for widgets and still ahve a decent amount of apps within the reach area
Picture in picture video. Now you can still have a decent amount of screen for other stuff if you play a video with pip.
Opinions? are you going for the max or the regular?

Its fine, not really done much on it yet but I don't see ANY difference, although I don't even know what has changed on iOS 14 lol
I agree, I updated this morning and apart from being able to have widgets on the Home Screen and the translation app, not a big change. Might discover some other stuff as time goes by. Seems pretty stable though.
...I think the major changes are the widgets and messages app whereby you can now pin messages (like you can in Whatsapp) and also have group messages. Probably some other small bits and pieces also.
One thing that I will find useful (when Fastmail update their app) is being able to set the default mail sender. I have not used Apple Mail for quite awhile.

Anyone who has upgraded there Apple Watch. I unpaired my series 3 but left the EE plan active
when I pair the series 6 does the EE plan carry across to the new Watch or will I need to deactivate the plan

You need to call EE and have them marry up the existing plan with the new watch.
Process used to be painful as hell, where they would always muck it for me and leave me without service for several days. They've now streamlined the process and any of the customer service operators should be able to do it for you now.
I need to know so that I can put in for that day to be off. I want to see the keynote at that time instead of later when I would get home from work.

Yeah that sounds about right. In past years I’ve usually been cooking dinner for the family and watching it on my iPad much to my wife’s disgust lol. She really doesn’t get why I’d want to watch it yet will undoubtedly buy an iPhone 12 herself.
I call Apple Keynotes "Date Night" and get my wife to watch them with me - she is not impressed... 🤣
My wife thinks it’s geeky and sad lol, yet owns more Apple products than I do. She’s just not into watching videos of tech or discussing it. I agree 100%, this is the first time Apple have shaken their iPad line up so much that the Air is now a really viable alternative to the Pro for a lot of buyers.
So I've decided to go for the sky blue Air in October as it looks stunning, plus I don't feel the need to pay extra for 120mhz, LiDAR etc. on the Pro version.
I know Apple only do one unique iPhone Pro colour each year to make it stand out, but I for one would really like to see a sky blue iPhone 12 Pro alongside the midnight blue.
Based on track record, I predict they may well release the non-Pro iPhone 12 models in the iPad Air colours like sky blue, just to pi55 me off!
Either way, it's turning into an all blue 2020!

Was well jealous last year as the titanium ones never came out for release day (that or missed the boat in the first few minutes)
i'm waiting for the xbox pre orders always prefered them to sony i do have both though the only time i turn the ps4 on is to download the latest ps plus games. which version did you get ?I think I may have a problem! My wife wouldn't know what a keynote is lol, but owns a 13" MBPr, iPad 11" pro, XR, AW S3 haha.
