the offer i have is 25 unlimited everything and max speed of 60mb for 12 months but this a banner in my account says this is a special offer assume others have this
If your going to get a 24 month plan on 4g and in 12 months time 5g is in your area I would feel a bit let down as I like to future proof especially if I’m purchasing the 5g iPhone shortly

agree though 5g is the only way to go as i do travel quite abit inside and outside the uk well used to lol

BT the owners of EE are on abit of a roll prices going up caps on data and remember theres an annual 3.9% increase on top of CPI come march on top of all that.

I don't agree with the 3.9% but isn't this because they expect the normal yearly % increase to be low due to Covid-19? Not acceptable I agree, but as they are expecting it to be low, it might work out the same anyway, or thereabouts?

inflation wasn't going to be 3.9% even before covid and if they said were taking away the normal inflation price rise but then doing the 3.9% increase thats one thing but thats not what they are doing its rpi or cpi plus 3.9%.

they know alot of people will be getting the new iphone and they can price gouge

it might be worth getting a regular unlimited 4g for 25 quid as 5g isn't even in most areas of the uk

This was always going to happen, It's a pretty stupid if they didn't do it because people out there will buy into these prices. I'm happy with my 18 p/m 60GB 5G sim only :)

Well all I can suggest is you vote with your feet if you are not happy mate. That's the only way they will stop pulling our pants down. I am not happy but not worth the hassle of going to another network

they are the best network so its as you say if people don't like it then move to another one sadly some of us can't for one reason or another but overall other than this sneaky price rise and the other stuff mentioned above they are by far the best network in the UK.

Agree 100% mate. Had my problems in the past but they've always sorted them in the end - funny enough all my problems seem to be around the iPhone launches lol

I’ve still not convinced myself on the value for 5G yet. Personally I can’t see me commuting anywhere near as much for work and when I did 4G got me 120mbps download so had no complaints.

Happy that I’ve now got FTTP and on a 1Gb line at home

Vodafone?

when does the new ios usually appear from memory its around 6pm isn't it ?

it'll be a pain to download with so many people wanting it but i'll probably still try on all devices.

Not sure what to do this year. Needed to get a bigger storage phone, got a 256gb 11 pro max from Amazon at the beginning of Sept, with 10% off the price. I have until 9/10 to return it. To be honest I am getting to quite like it. I think the 12 will have to be something special to make me send the 11 back.

Good news is at least you have plenty of time to have a think about it!

I was still signed up to the public beta from last year iOS. This morning I downloaded the latest iOS 14 via the public beta and I have to say I'm loving it. Also it's meant I get the latest iOS before the hoards of people hit Apple servers and slow everything to a halt.!

....oh dear.

I've not tried all of my apps, but I can safely say the ones I've used so far all work as expected.

Was good to see a favourable dollar/pound conversion ratio in yesterday's event (the price in pounds less than the price in dollars) - does this mean we are likely to see the same rate for new iPhones?

Current iPhone 11 = $699 in US and £729 in UK
New iPad air = $599 in US and £579 in UK

the exchange is hovering around the 1.30 mark at the moment i'd say apple will do what most other companies do and charge us the same price in pounds as dollars.

This does mean they get an extra 10% from us but they will cite brexit etc to counter that the states has said interest rates will kept low for years which keeps the dollar weaker. In conclusion we get screwed lol its past my bedtime sorry if my maths isn't correct.

What I meant is that it was the first time in a while I have seen the pound number actually lower than the dollar number (just in raw figures, rather than true conversion rates). Which makes me hope that if the iPhone is say 1,000 dollars, it will be priced at 950 pounds or something, rather than 1,050 (as it has recently).

downloading ios 14 for my apple devices its taking longer than normal i'm guessing its the server side thats causing it. but i'm determind to get it before i head off to work.
