Looks like there’s a digital version for setting up the esim this time on EE

50p for 'digital' delivery... really?

I’m a bit confused. I went ahead and “got ready” for preordering and now the blue toggle says “remind me” with a checkmark on it, does that mean I’m good for faster check out?

sorry but can't justify to buy a colour/capacity that it is not my 1st choice, just for having a slightly higher possibility to get it on launch day - which is highly questionable, who knows stock available per model and demand for each one?

Always going with my 1st choice and always get my choice on launch day.

I'll be upgrading from the 11 Pro Midnight Green to 12 Pro Pacific Blue. I would ideally like the slightly larger sensors and better lenses on the 12 Pro Max, but really don't want to increase the size.

I always end up taking my real cameras with me for Photography work anyway. The iPhone can never compete in that area.

...god I am SO glad I left them years ago - fekking useless!!
I'd be tempted to leave them but I've a friend who works at O2 who gets me a discount via their Friends and Family scheme. That said, with the 12 Pro Max coming from Apple direct it'll be unlocked and thus I'll be able to move networks as I wish so I'll look around at the others. Is EE still the best?

I’d be very surprised if there are shortages of any of the new models bearing in mind the pandemic and the seriously adverse effect it is having on our economy. Impossible to know for sure though.

If you don't want to upgrade because of photo characteristics of iphone 12 pro, I can hardly see any reason to move from 11 pro (unless you are going to use 5G heavily).

Agree, another reason to don't choose based on availability assumptions... :)

Judging by the cameras in your sig you're right, the iPhone will never compete. I'm a photographer too, however, I want the bigger phone or I'd go the 12 Pro.
(Oh, nice images on your website too).

Wow, I'm paying £15.26 a month for unlimited calls, texts and 20Gb Data a month. I'm open to other ideas though.

that must be a really old package now. use to be on that but upgraded last year and got 60GB plus 2GB bonus.
Works out well coz I have a sim in my iPad at £4 per month and just gift myself 30GB to the iPad

Well, I want a pacific blue one haha. Will be nice to have the new form factor as I preferred the straight edge on my older iPhones to the curved design introduced with the X/X Max.

The iPhone XS Max is 6.5” whereas the iPhone 12 Pro is 6.1” so the difference is just under half an inch. Not that significant.

on the other hand the iPhone 12 Pro Max is 6.7” so a bigger difference there.

My guess is that a fair number of XS Max and 11 Pro Max owners will settle for the 12 Pro and take the reduction in screen size bearing in mind the cost saving and the earlier availability.

Forgive me if im missing something but wouldn't the drop down of 0.4" be bigger a difference than the increase of 0.2"?

so confused about which one to go for.. i'm on X at the moment, it's not the worst but battery's getting a bit naff and the screen is leaking a bit of ink lol

I don't know whether i can justify paying an extra 300 for the pro max, when the 12 is pretty solid

It's the sim part of the XS Max device plan I had just rolling over on a monthly rolling contract.
I took out the XS Max, paid off the last of the device plan a couple of months ago and am now left with just the airtime part which is £15.26 a month after the discount my friend can get me.

Not sure what you’re saying (more than likely my fault) but the drop down of 0.4” is what would happen when changing from an iPhone XS Max or 11 Pro Max to a 12 Pro whereas the increase of 0.2” is what you would get going from an XS Max or 11 Pro Max to a 12 Pro Max.

....don't know who is 'the best' but what I do know is that for me, EE are a thousand times better (coverage wise) than O2.

You can always count on O2 to also mess up pre-orders - happens each and every year without fail!!

O2 did ok on the pre-order for my XS Max. Got it for me to my local store on launch day.

I'm tempted to try an EE PAYG sim just to see what coverage is like around home and here. I know what the online coverage checker says but it's what it's actually like that's important.
