This certainly seems the way to go.
Barclays 24 months 0%, so you can sort it online and get it delivered, then just settle it whenever the new phone comes out next year. Basically iUP except you can do it online and don't have to visit a store.

Yep exactly!

Thou currently doing up my new house and the temporary place I’m staying in literally 2 mins walk from the Apple store! Might still go for pick up as I can’t hang around all day at the new place.

So sorry if this has been dealt with already but I’m late to the party this year and I just don’t have the stamina to wade through 50 odd pages.

Have any of you had dealings with a recycling company called ReBuy? They’re offering significantly more for my son’s iPhone X than Envirofone, the (local) company that I normally deal with. I note though that the offer they have made is “up to £359.66” which might suggest that they have a tendency to cut you down. Envirofone have always been very fair but they’re only offering £310.

How may can we order, ideally need 3? I recall a limit of 2 per household, does this still apply?

O2 say you need a 5G sim with them but they don't charge more for 5G probably because it's not available anywhere with them

Tempted to just go eSim at last, if next year is port-less then it might be forced anyway.

I just paid off my iUP direct to Barclays as I'm going to go down the route of the standard Barclays loan option etc instead of iUP this year.

Am I right in thinking I can get a refund on the remaining AppleCare? How do I go about doing this? I think @Jinjin you might have mentioned this before?

Have just called Apple and cancelled 0800 048 0408

Haven't used them, but i looked and noticed the price was for "as new" - which i assume means literally NO scratches or scuffs etc.. i got a couple of tiny ones so won't wanna risk getting downgraded as their next tier pricing is below other companies.. might want to take that into account? (unless your sons phone is perfect!)

You reckon that the 0% barclays finance will allow us to reserve for in-store pickup?

Well, I’m ready...

I got my quote for my iPhone 11 from MusicMagpie well in advance (£399.50 + an extra 10% provided I get it to them by the 31st! It’s already gone down to £272 😁)...

And I’ll be early-upgrading with EE, probably on the Full Works plan because why not 🤷🏻‍♂️ (Green, 128GB iPhone 12)

Can anyone answer me this, based on previous years? Thanks!
  1. Will it be available as an upgrade option at the same time pre-orders start on Friday?
  2. Does the delivery address have to be the same as the billing address? I’m working on the 23rd, so if possible I’ll get it delivered to work. (Or failing that, do they let you choose a different delivery day so you don’t have to chase it with the courier?)

So any carriers done tariffs yet?

I don't think so. Normally carriers hold out on tarrifs until the minute the pre-orders go live. They want you to not have the opportunity to compare so you go for one that sounds best in a quick second or two with whoever you are currently with. They've more chance of locking you in then.
Of course, the carriers will say it's so the other carriers don't see pricing and then undercut.

Hi, if i trade in my old phone and get reduced monthly payments... do i have to send in old phone before they would release new phone ?

I think it will - my order page shows that the order can be completed on Friday, so I guess this would mean we get some kind of reservation slot when we do actually complete the order:

No. They send you the new iPhone then a day or 2 later you get sent a pack to send your old one back in. Then once they've received and checked the old one you get a credit for the amount. If it's monthly payments, they speak to Barclays and reduce the payment amount.

Cannot wait to buy a 12 Pro Max! Stuck on what colour to get, I don't think I like the blue so it is down to Graphite or Silver! One thing I do want to see if anyone knows, I currently have an SE 2020 with an e-SIM from EE(UK). Are e-SIMS transferrable between devices, or would I have to get a new QR code from them?

I didn't even think of doing this after paying my iUP off, until I saw a post earlier in the thread.

A quick call to Apple and I have another £54.00 refund en route

...correct.

...I don't think this is correct.

Once the phone is checked, they simply credit your chosen card/account - sure I saw this somewhere, but happy to be shown otherwise!!
🤐

How long is it taking for peeps to get pre-approval? I don't have an iPhone so I'll have to wait until Friday to apply for my 0% loan (because you can't do it on the Apple Store app on iPad).

...correct.

I'm totally confused now haha!

When I select trade in and finance it automatically reduces my finance amount based on the value of my current phone.
So, let's assume I change my mind or indeed Apple value the phone less on arrival, do we pay the amount on a card sitting on our apple accounts (mentioned on here already) or do Apple increase the finance with Barclays.

Ah, ok. I was sure this was the way that Apple did it until recently. I'll check with my wife this evening. I'm sure when she did her SE 2020 this way a couple of weeks ago that's what they did.
