Feeling a bit better now managed to get through to Curry’s and they have confirmed my order!
I ordered my Pro Max on Friday but did not get any confirmation so a bit concerned when the money went out of my account.
Left it until today to phone and they have now give me an order number so hopefully I will get my shiny new phone on Friday like the rest of you.

Whats bizarre is that even though I upgraded my plan on Saturday MyEE still shows I can upgrade.......
And its letting me go through and do an upgrade. I think I will wait until it has properly reverted.
How long does an upgrade take when ordering online?
Same for me when I upgraded a few weeks ago i could upgrade again immediately
I reverted back as thought I would wait for Black Friday

Ideally and what seen in Apple store, iCloud backup for later restoring from phone to phone with animation is the cleanest. Restoring took about 15 mins with all keychain and apps restored. It is pretty nifty if you use Apple Watch pairing too. I guess it retrospectively unpair and pair itself.
But that’s not applied to everyone and screw-up like me. I got few builds of beta backup and it further complicate the process. So I have ended up with outdated restore from Finder backup. iTune is no more valid with Big Sur. I know I am a mess up with beta which I could not handle.
Ok i probably do it unconventionally
On my Macbook Pro I use iMazing for phone management - wireless and wired - iMazing after the first wired backup will create snapshot backups wirelessly like time machine, For my I will upgrade the 12 pro max to 14.2. Backup my device with imazing then use imazing to restore it. As its encrypted all the health data and watch data comes across.
Previously I have done iCloud backup, iCloud restore and its just as functional, the main consideration is time.
iMazing is a lot quicker than iCloud, however with lockdown and nowhere to go I will probably do iCloud.
