....if this was me, I'd be standing by the window all day tracking the delivery driver's every move!!!

I have the One X myself and happy with that hence why I didn't upgrade but congrats to you nevertheless....

👌🏼

I have an One S and decided not to upgrade to the One X but decided to wait for the Series X. I would do that but unfortunately I’ll be at work so I can’t. There are family members at home to accept delivery but they’re not going spend time doing that. LOL 😂

It’s worth it if battery life is really the number 1 thing for you...mini sounds like a battery life is an issue.
12 pro max has always been out of question for me as its just too big even though i have large hands. I was referring to 12 pro max not being worth it for the camera upgrades that everyone was expecting it to have.

Depends, the camera is still better than the 12 pro just not a massive difference. Will be more noticeable in low light, night mode and video.

What does it say on your online account mine just says received

My Currys order says the same. I'm assuming this is normal and that they don't update like apple (to 'processing or preparing for delivery' etc)?

Am I right in thinking the only time we'll hear anything else is when we get the DPD email/text?

Yeah I get that. The camera updates seem to makes difference in lower light but not regular day to day stuff

I think some people are exaggerating the size of the 12 pro max. I have a case for the new phone and it is not that much bigger than my 7 plus. Millimetres not centimetres.
Yes but your thumb doesn’t have to reach all the way to the top with the 7 plus.

Looks like it but I’m not 100% sure if mine changes in the meantime I will tag you with info cheers

I had the 12 pro and returned it after a week. The main reason being that I wasn't using the zoom feature as much as I thought I might. A couple of reviewers who were focussing on the photography aspects of the 12 Pro mentioned the smaller Pixel size on the zoom camera and that the camera app would often choose the wide angle over the zoom if the light was thought to be less than excellent ( a photo from the digitally zoomed wide lens with bigger pixels/larger aperture were often of higher quality than a picture from the zoom lens ).
I returned the 12 Pro and was planning to get the standard 12. My wife has a 12 Mini arriving on Friday, I'll wait to see what that is like with regard to Photo's battery life and practicality of use before I order the 12.

Edited to say that I've had SLR cameras with Pro lenses, I'm old enough to have had a Chemical dark room and developed my own film stock. If the photos from the 12 Pro Max aren't obviously far superior to the 12 / 12 Pro without "Pixel Peeping" then I'm happy to save a couple of hundred quid and get the standard iPhone 12.

looks like 12 pro max is not really worth it. 12 mini on the other hand can potentially be a winner if the battery life is better than the SE 2020.

It depends on personal preferences. I don’t even like 12 pro size as came from iPhoneX.

But the extra things came in handy with its circumstances. When I did a night shot on last blue moon, I just wish I would have Pro max. It all comes to circumstances and lifestyle needs. So to put things in competition, I do not see any point what we can get out from this.

For now, yes I can use mini or normal 12 series but I won’t have the luxury of keeping photos as it is. There need time for photo edit and such. The ones taken up by Pro phone are mesmerising and very convenient and save time. That’s what most people pay premium for. Buying time.

So after sending back the pro and ordering the pro max, i’ve been using an old 7 plus.

Looking at the comparison table on apple’s website, it’s the exact same width, depth and just slightly taller and slightly heavier.

I think people are forgetting that about the older phones that had the big bezels top and bottom which no really claimed to be massive.

Looking forward to the extra screen size and better camera.

1. Screen real estate
2. Battery life
3. Best phone Apple has to offer
4. Camera

Also plan to keep in 3-4 years.
You might be on the wrong forum if thinking you’ll keep for 4 years or are we talking “3-4 years” in air quotations as the official story 😉

Anyway I don’t understand the point of max v mini videos. Are many people really debating between those 2 options? Surely it’s pro regular v pro max or mini v regular 12? For me it’s Pro 12 Max v my existing 11 Pro so would sure appreciate a review video on that. Failing which I‘ll shoot my own next week 😂
Also looks like everyone got the max pro in gold to review - presume that’s to avoid confusion.
