On the console front, I’m thinking about getting back in the game, and want aPS5, but doubt I’ll Get one this side of Christmas. 😕

...my teenage son is in the same boat - he didn't pre-order and now his only chance of getting one is literally staying up until 1 minute past midnight on the 18th November (UK release day is 19th November I think) and ordering one online!!!

Those with EE getting 20% off with Student Beans does this include 5G tariffs too?

When I last looked admittedly a few months ago now they didn't allow any discount codes on 5G tariffs :(
Officially they don't but they never used to allow them on Max plans too but I've always had mine applied both online via checkout and over the phone/chat so not sure why they even bother to put it in there if it is possible to use.

For anyone that has iPhone mini / pro max pre-orders with Argos, you may want to contact them via live chat.

I went on live chat to confirm Fri 13th delivery date and the advisor said that I needed to book delivery! The order confirmation emails and order status didn't say that I had to, so don't know if this correct, but he booked delivery for me, luckily still for Friday 13th. The order status has now changed from "Sit tight - we're processing your order" to "Sit tight - we're processing your order for delivery on Friday 13th November between 7am and 9pm" and I have received a text from Argos also confirming the date and courier (Yodel).
i went on the live chat and the person said "You will receive confirmation of the delivery date closer to the time as the item is pre-ordered"

not sure what that means tbh, i can see monies gone out of my account, and got a email confirming we've started preparing your order. thats all iv got.

Three online chat have now confirmed I’m definitely getting my 12 Pro Max 256Gb Pacific Blue on the 13th! 😧

OK, as this is now such an omnibus thread, I will hang this on the hook of my iPhone ...

I bought my iP12P through an 18 month contract with EE, a first for me with EE. Coming from an iP7, the plus sides so far are the extra screen size and general slickness of response but it is heavier and with those hard edges feels a bit clunkier. Also the first case I bought from ESR feels icky; I think I might invest in something that feels better in the hand, so to stick with the side-topic:

I am looking back and forth for recommendations on a leather case that's not too bulky.

But my real query is about experience with EE Broadband.

Having moved to EE mobile there is a 10% deal and some interesting possibilities with Apple TV - and I'd appreciate comments from anyone having experience of EE broadband, phone & Apple TV, both quality of delivery and their customers support. I had read some comments on outages and poor support but I guess every ISP gets that.

As the EE mobile deal brings me trial use of Apple TV, I guess I could try that straight-away on the back of my existing broadband from Virgin.

I was looking on the EE website and provided my landline number to check availability and, hey ho, I had a call just now from a sales guy from EE.

(As background, I have been with TeleWest & then Virgin Media since the discovery of electrons and use them for broadband, phone and TV. Never really liked their UI though. Next door neighbour has BT Broadband which I think is same as EE.)

Yeah went through doing an upgrade and added the code as a Gift Voucher

My code wasn't actually a Student Beans one was a Totum one from a friend but all went through fine.

If you go for Apple Music through EE just click a link and it takes you through the music app with option to cancel the 9.99 payment to Apple to let the EE subscription take over.

Next is to move to an eSim just worried about ordering it and it knocking my current physical sim out.
ok so the reversal didn't happen with EE back to my old plan, I am on with them now, they are just going to apply the discount to my account and I have asked them to upgrade it to unlimited plan with the JBL headphones.

Mine is finally sorted!!! 45 minutes on the phone

They have managed to change the plan to the Unlimited 5G £28 with 1 swappable then 20% discount. didn't need the code in the end that I bought on Ebay as they took my word for it. Looks like the plan reversal never got processed properly.

So those with the discount please can you confirm in the plan breakdown it shows £28 but then in the add-on shows 20% discount and that this is applied at the bill date?

This will help both myself and simps100

Yup thats how it works. Plan shows full price and in addon the discount. It is applied when bill is produced.
