Love this. I’m excitedly updating my girlfriend on every step of the process. She has rolled her eyes at every part, it’s great. I’ve spent about 10 minutes looking at my leather cases every day since they arrived and she just looks at me and goes oh god...
She secretly loves it as much as I do I’m sure of it.
I had the same situation just over 2 weeks ago.
She thought I was mental, especially when Friday came and I was constantly tracking the delivery guy 😂

I'm only going by what Apple say - have you seen anything in black & white to substantiate your statement? I'm truly interested to learn why an Apple Watch is considered more secure than an iPhone? More than willing to bow to your expertise/experience! 👍
Its not specifically AW, its Apple Pay, I have bought an Apple Watch using Apple Pay and then used the watch to by an iPhone, so I have used Apple Pay for over £1000

I see no difference either, that's kinda my point. So no limit for the Watch should mean no limit for the iPhone.

Weren't there folks who had issues paying with Apple Pay for their Pro Max pre-orders, and their banks told them it was because of the value of the transaction being >£1k? Maybe that's only for 'card'holder not present transactions though? I'm genuinely interested to find out for certain what the limits are!
I used Apple Pay to pay for the Max on Friyay...

Although still waiting for my phone to move to ‘preparing for despatch’ i’ve just had UPS tracking info for tomorrows xbox series x delivery, so something to take my mind off the phone!

Actually it’s set by the retailers. Asda have a Max of £45 for Apple Pay, had to phone my mrs who was sat in the car to come and pay as I didn’t have my card with me 😂
You are right, it's got nothing to do with the watch or phone. I know from first-hand experience. Morrisons and Asda both don't accept anything over £45 for Apple pay. I know cos I once forgot my wallet at home and had to leave my shopping at the till to rush back home to grab the physical card. Aldi definitely goes over £45 with Apple Pay.

Its set by the terminal at the retailer and has nothing to do with using Apple pay by iPhone or Watch

I always preference Watch over phone esp with Covid and mask-wearing.

I always forget at Asda, though I’m sure my Morrison’s here works over £45. I haven’t carried my wallet since the first lockdown as everyone stopped accepting cash, or gave you funny looks for trying to use it.
I always use the watch too as that way I don’t have to think about cleaning my phone or entering the passcode.

Surely using that code isn’t ethically right. I don’t think people should be abusing the system.
I bought a code but didn't end up using it as I was speaking to the upgrade team and they said the systems had messed my plan up so they will apply new plan and apply the discount without the code manually.

Yep AW is the way due to COVID. Tesco updated their terminals to £250, ALDI and Lidl I believe don't have a limit. Apple defo no limit, its more governed by the bank.

Since I discovered there’s no limit to Apple Pay payments using the watch, I don’t even take my wallet out with me anymore.

Exactly the same, i tend to never take wallet out these days... AW and AP all the way.

Unfortunately, there is STILL a need to carry a wallet for most people.

Things like Driver’s Licenses, ID cards, some store cards and office entry cards just can’t be digitised onto an Apple Watch or even into Apple’s Wallet app so these need to be carried inside some kind of wallet.

Personally, for me, nothing beats my TrayVax Ascent Wallet (Google it) - nothing even comes close.
😎

i went on the live chat and the person said "You will receive confirmation of the delivery date closer to the time as the item is pre-ordered"

not sure what that means tbh, i can see monies gone out of my account, and got a email confirming we've started preparing your order. thats all iv got.
I think it really varies by who you get on the end of the live chat. The first person I was chatting to (before I got disconnected) didn't even realise it was a pre-order and thought it was out for delivery today.

I am sure your order will progress too, perhaps go back on live chat Wednesday / Thursday if you haven't heard anything.

Not sure if anyone's been looking but delivery dates for homepod mini orders have slipped to 23rd dec-5 jan! Lucky I ordered early should arrive 16th-18th nov for me!

I use a Secrid mini wallet for my other cards

I have the Matt Black version.

There are loads of different combo to suit.

Does anyone have any experience with Apple and iPhone refunds? My return gap got extended so will return my iPhone 12 pro to them but I’ve just realised there’s a slight scratch on the stainless steel sides towards the bottom that’s visible when shining towards a light. Could that affect my return or anything? UPS is scheduled to pick up either Friday or Saturday but worried incase that scratch derails the return policy.

Mine either, she says she deserves it more and i should be getting her one and not me. the amount of times we have nearly got divorced (no joke) because of Apple purchases.
My wife knows that I'm an Apple fan so we've never got to that stage thankfully.

I like the yellow.

As much as I like the Magsafe wallet idea for the iPhone I need to carry more than I could fit in it (business cards, driver's license & somewhere to put business receipts).
