Because that's what it says on my preparing to ship screen.

For those that ordered from Curry’s, I just had a chat with them online and they said the phones will arrive with them later today and shipped out to customers tomorrow. Personally I don’t believe a word of it but here’s the screenshots from my conversation anyway. It at least gives me hope that we are on track for Friday

Can i ask for EE - 1) you ordered a qr code by post? (there is no digital picture option)? and 2) Your old esim continues to work until you activate the new one (ie on friday)? I dont want to be disconnected for 2 days.

Yes it’s by post and you need to order an inactive sim so your current esim continues to work. If you order online then there’s three options you just need to pick the last option to receive an inactive sim

Most if not all phones that are coming on Friday are 'preparing to ship' status. Hopefully your's arrives on friday too!
