What model are you getting?

I genuinely have my fingers crossed that you receive it tomorrow, and as I say, I know why Currys have the reputation they do, and I know they've messed up in the past (I've suffered delivery issues from them before, too)...

However, this time, at the moment, there doesn't seem to be a confirmation of an issue and it does feel more like jitters based on past experiences than an issue (but as I say, I could be wrong, and like you if I am come tomorrow, I will hold my hands up and apologise for defending them, too).

The stock levels thing makes sense to me though, and that's why I tried to dig a bit deeper... Was trying to understand if there was an issue and more info/evidence existed, or if it was jitters based on past experiences.

As I say --- I genuinely hope that you (and the rest of us!) get our phones tomorrow, and have my fingers crossed that we do, but I also feel confident at the moment that we will... One sleep (and probably lots of refreshing and suchlike) to go... :)
Personally speaking if i hadn’t had the first message this morning telling me I wasn’t getting my order, when I knew 2 days ago the model I ordered was still on sale for release day then I wouldn’t of batted an eyelid, but unfortunately I saw red then came down after the second message lol, anyway like you I think if you ordered early enough we will all receive our chosen models from curry’s tomorrow, they need to communicate better if they ever will get rid of the reputation regards

I have been reading along to see if my 12 mini tracking statuses were normal. I've been given DPD, and I know how keen everyone is to get their phone on time so this may help a few of you... I was just on the phone to them and the lady told me Apple are very strict with who signs for a parcel. Tracking says photo ID is required but she said they would only deliver if it was MY ID, or a family member with the same surname. So if you're at work and a receptionist is going to sign for it, I suggest going to reception when tracking says it's close if possible, or at least leave your ID with them. I'm a student and I'm gonna have to go to my delivery office just before.
I think this might depend a lot on the driver: when DPD delivered my 12, the driver didn't ask for ID, he just took a photo of me holding the box that got uploaded to the tracking later. Never had any requirement to see my ID in previous years when I've had Apple stuff delivered to reception at work either. Also they do say "contactless delivery" at he moment, wouldn't be very contactless if you needed to hand over ID would it?

At my local DPD depot! No option to select a one hour time slot this time. For my HomePod delivery this morning I had that option.

Yeah I agree, mine also says contactless delivery so doesn't make a lot of sense. But just to be on the safe side I'll go down anyway. Plus, where I am they take the packages and move them to lockers for us to collect, which can take a day or two, so if I go down hopefully I will be able to intercept and have it straight away.

For those with DPD delivery you can click on Parcel Info to properly track it.

Mines coming in from 'Hub 4' in Hinckley!
