You can put both phones side by side and it copies one phone to the other. Then it asks if you want to use your watch with the new phone. It’s a great way of setting it up. No messing around.

So you didn't need to even take your watch off?

My 18th delivery date just moved forward to the original 16th quoted ! Woo! So happy as thats to the day i needed it most.

Just went on my tracking its now in Southampton delivery today. Well now i'm not sleeping.. that escalated quickly. Fingers crossed!!

After reading some benchmarks today I pulled the trigger on an M1 beastie too, and a Samsung 4K HDR monitor.

Won’t arrive until long after the Pro Max excitement has waned tomorrow, but I guess it’s something else to look forward to before whatever Christmas ass malarkey will be possible.

will update the new phone to 14.2 then re-run restore from icloud backup that’s what i did last year.

14.3 beta is now out. Ooh the decisions. If I have to upgrade ether device anyway may aswell be straight to 14.3

Do you have to set up the phone then update to 14.2? Assuming it’s not already on it. Or is there a prompt before restoring from iCloud during initial setup?

So this year’s UK thread will be the biggest one in the six years I’ve been involved! 9 pages short off the iPhone X release in 2017 and it’s not even launch day (part 2) yet!

i guess being in lockdown most the year as built up a feverish appetite!

And probably 2 separate releases of Apples “best ever phone”!!!! Haha
