well after waiting all week to see if my nov 30th slot would be updated and moved forward, I’ve given up, cancelled it and ordered for Apple store collection tomorrow! Beggars belief how ordering on launch dat at 13.26 gets your further away from receiving it then ordering on the day of release!

I was literally saying the same thing, coming from an XS Max i can't see any differences not even the size, the screen looks the same, resolution looks the same. Camera will be better but everything else is underwhelming. Hate to imagine what its like coming from an 11 Pro Max

Can you see screen yellowing issue please?
I saw it when data transferring from iPhoneX to 12 pro max.
Piggyback and see comparison on 12 pro too. Both 12 pro and 12 pro max, screens are more yellow compared to X. When turning off True Tone , it is showing bluish compared to X.

Hope this is normal with OLED.

(you can’t have a watch paired to more than one iPhone at a time)

Not entirely true, you can have multiple watches paired to a single iPhone. I use my S4 and S6 interchangeably with no issues as they both have separate backups. What you can't do is wear both watches at the same time, the first one that has the pin number enabled will work.

The XS max was also OLED, both my phones are set with the same level of brightness with true tone on. Side by side I can clearly see that the XS Max is brighter and has more pop to it than the 12 pro Max. Definitely a yellow tint

The top one has a single use frame (quite wasteful) whereas the lower photo (grey frame) has a frame that can be used multiple times. I have used both. I used the grey frame this afternoon on my brand new phone straight out of the box and it worked perfectly. I’m very pleased with the results.

Other than Apple Pay- was there any data or passwords you had to re-enter using this restore method? I normally restore from encrypted iTunes backup
I had to re authorise my bank app and credit card app my iTunes Store account password because it’s different to my icloud

I saw the same with my XS and 12
Pro. But lot better now I’m exclusively using the 12 pro and following tips to turn off the auto brightness and then re-enable it’s a lot better. But I was disappointed at first as thought the XS had more pop.

Quick update from me. Graphite 12 Pro Max (256GB) delivered by DPD at 2:00 pm (bang in the middle of the 1 hour slot). Driver left it in the unlocked porch, rang the bell and walked off to his van glancing back briefly to check that I’d got it.

The phone is now set up and protected with a screen protector and a case. I absolutely love it!

I hope that you all got, or will soon get, what you are after. Good luck everyone. It’s been a pleasure exchanging views and snippets of knowledge.

My EE eSim didnt get swapped and also effectively switching off my old sim. Rang them to get it activated manually and they cant find that sim on their system. So the phone is going back in its box until i get replacement sim.

Bastwards!

Went with the gold just because I really like it with the blue silicon case. Especially loving the little gold ring effect

Could be worse. I’ve had my case, screen protector, and two new anker cables all delivered ready. And thanks to Vodafone and DPD incompetence. No phone. And no idea when I’m gonna get it. Was meant to arrive before 12 today

....sorry but you’re twisting what I said.

I said that you cannot have ONE single watch paired to more than ONE iPhone at the same time. So - in other words, you CANNOT have a single Apple Watch paired to an iPhone XS AND an iPhone 12 at the same time. That is ENTIRELY true.....
