Not iPhone related but DPD were meant to deliver my PS5 today. All looked good as usual with DPD last night when the package was on way to my local depot (in dartford). This morning I wake up to check how it’s doing to find it not in dartford but 270 miles west in Cornwall!
Mine is being delivered today by Yodel from GAME. The only thing is the delivery window is 3.30 to 5.30 and no one is going to be home between those times. I am tracking the delivery on line and the number of stops before he gets to my house and he does seem to be moving fairly quickly. I’m hoping he reaches my house by 3.00 at the latest. ☹️

I meant to type Not but it autocorrected. Now edited.

I am absolutely loving the 12 Pro Max... and the new MacBook Air M1 (base model), it’s a seriously impressive laptop for less than the cost of my iPhone. morning

Going to hold out for a 14” mbp with the m1 next year (assume it will be this time next year though) looks seriously impressive the M1

Don’t think they’ll even leave it in a safe place. My DPD tracking showed they couldn’t do so and needed signing for

I’ll succumb to the temptation of the 14” MBP M1 (or M2) when that arrives for sure. I can’t tell you how impressive Apple Silicon is. Powerful, silent, cool and the battery lasts forever. It’s a whole new world.

That’s probably because he’s chucking the boxes over the garden wall! Hope not.

I went to Apple Park and Infinite Loop in 2018 while I was in San Francisco. Spent a load on cups, pens, t-shirts etc. Here's a link to a few pictures.

Looks more exciting than the Apple related adventure we had in San Francisco last year. On way to Tartine Manufactory for breakfast hubby left his iPhone in an Uber. Unlike me he does not take photos of all his food so did not realise until we were on way back to hotel. By the time we got through to the Uber driver he was out of the city and wasn't sure he would get another job back in the city then his shift finished and he told us he was back home (near San Jose) and would try to get us the next day.

We drove nearly 2 hrs to get and once we arrived discovered the address was in an office/industrial estate. There was no sign of the Uber driver or his car and he didn't answer his phone. We figured we had been shafted / sent on a wild goose chase then a guy (not the driver) came out the back of a building and asked if we were there for our phone and led us into the backdoor of a building and through kitchens and asked us to sit down. We were feeling very wary until our driver appeared from another with hubbies phone. Subsequently realised we were in a very unlikely looking sikh temple. We made it back to the city (going past Cupertino area) with just enough time to spare to grab dinner before going to a Snow Patrol concert at The Warfield. Good job we had a hire car!

I went out early in the morning and got the train down to Sunnyvale and got an Uber to Apple Park, left the wife in San Francisco shopping, spent a hour or so at Apple Park then got another Uber to Infinite Loop, the Uber driver took me as close as he could to Apple Park, right up to the main gates, showed me some better views of the place. Then spent another hour or so then back in an Uber to the Sunnyvale train station back into San Francisco. Dead easy to get to, got back around 2pm. The wife was still shopping around Union Square. Really glad I went, spent about $30 getting there and back and about $400 on Apple stuff.

I haven't used any of it, all safely stored in my office at home on shelves. Although I did bust out the Apple Mug from time to time and take it into the office.

Yes the options available on Yodel for safe place, neighbour, rescheduling etc are not available. They are all “grayed” out. If they’re not able to deliver I’ll have to call them to deliver tomorrow.

Great tip.
Just done mine with EE. No problems, all exactly as they say it’ll be - although they could pay a bit quicker. Had an email yesterday saying the money will be in my account on 24 Nov.
That said O2 recycle currently pay £608 - but my phone was on the way to EE when I found that out.

just had to book an exchange for my iPhone 12PM with EE. The yellow green tinge on the screen is just getting on my nerves. Hoping it’s just this device and not all of them. Getting a new one tomorrow.

Finally ... WHOOP! Moved from processing. Anybody know how long from “preparing to ship” until it is shipped?

Sounds great - I'll put on the list for the next time! Want to go back as loved the restaurants and walking about but limited sightseeing we felt.
We thought Union Square are was a bit disappointing. We stayed in Japantown which was nice and we were right next to a cool Japanese mall.

I had a nightmare once, a little similar, I was up in Santa Barbara working, was on the Pacific Coast highway and stopped to take some pictures and look around, I then continued driving to LA as I was heading over to Vegas, when I was going past Pasedena on the 134 I realised I had left my phone on the roof of the car when I got in o_O it obviously wasn't there now so drove all the way back to butterfly beach, iy took 2hrs, and guess what? it was lying by the kerbside and all unmarked and working 😄, I headed back to Las Vegas and arrived late at night, I must say it was amazing driving through the desert and to see the city in the far distance get bigger and bigger and even bigger as I approached, something I would never have seen if I had not wasted 4hrs going back for my phone, anyway lesson learned don't put your phone on the car roof when getting stuff in and out 👍
