Music Magpie have just paid out the full £400 for my XS Max 256GB.
I wasn't sure they would because it had a reasonable size scratch on the screen.

Notification yesterday lunch time that it had been received

Money in my account this morning
The problem with the MagSafe charger is that the cable is only 1M long and it’s not even detachable. I need one with at least a 2M cable to reach the 20W power brick plugged into my power strip on the floor. And I don’t want to use an extension cable. Here’s hoping they come out with a 2M version or better third party options. I am considering the Belkin 3 in 1 MagSafe when it comes out as I do also have an Apple Watch.NOTE: The original Apple MagSafe charger is on Black Friday SALE at John Lewis for £35.10 https://www.johnlewis.com/apple-magsafe-charger-for-iphone-airpods/p5179561
My only issue with the Belkin is its going to be so overpriced, they probably collude with Apple on pricing. The problem with the MagSafe charger is that the cable is only 1M long and it’s not even detachable. Let me know if yours updates!Enjoy! Nothinf for me so maybe the next few days.
It should find your watch and lead you through the pairing, I have quite a few apps and it took hours to set mine up and get everything loaded on, you get the option to do it phone to phone using the old one or from the cloud, phone to phone was going to take 6hrs plus on mine so I opted for cloud option, but in honesty that took just about as long 👍It’s arrived. Just setting up now and then need to pair my watch 🙂
Bloody USB-2 lightning connector! Really things should be so much faster. Also I'm grumping a bit because I have only ADSL in my new home, 39/9Mbps, and before I had FTTP 400/400.It should find your watch and lead you through the pairing, I have quite a few apps and it took hours to set mine up and get everything loaded on, you get the option to do it phone to phone using the old one or from the cloud, phone to phone was going to take 6hrs plus on mine so I opted for cloud option, but in honesty that took just about as long 👍
I wish they’d hurry up with my 12” Retina MacBook. Sent it to them on Monday. Arrived at 14:01 on Wednesday (according to the tracking) but not a peep from them yet, not even an acknowledgement that they’ve received it even though they’ve had it for nearly two days. 🙄Music Magpie have just paid out the full £400 for my XS Max 256GB.

I have fitted loads of screen protectors on various devices but this one I bought for the iPhone 12 Pro Max was the easiest ever, I did it the second I took the protector off the new phone, if not you use the kit they give you to clean it, then place the guide frame over the phone, peel the backing off the protector glass and drop it in lining it up at the top first, it automatically starts sealing to the phone like moving oil, leave it and it will do it itself or give a little push towards the edge now and agin to get a total seal, takes 2 minutes in total start to finish and looks amazing, then lift off the frame and keep for next time, no big ugly cut outs at the top, you get 3 protectors and bonus covers for the camera but didn’t use them, hope it helps someone 👍 Oh I forgot, you get a free clear silicon case as wellDoes anyone know if Apple Stores in England are fitting Belkin screen protectors despite being a reduced service / express pick-up etc
Yeah, I have fitted a Belkin one myself but still isn't 100% and its really bugging me!I have fitted loads of screen protectors on various devices but this one I bought for the iPhone 12 Pro Max was the easiest ever, I did it the second I took the protector off the new phone, if not you use the kit they give you to clean it, then place the guide frame over the phone, peel the backing off the protector glass and drop it in lining it up at the top first, takes 2 minutes and looks amazing, then lift off the frame and keep for next time, no big ugly cut outs at the top, you get 3 protectors and bonus covers for the camera but didn’t use them, hope it helps someone 👍 Oh I forgot, you get a free clear silicon case as wellhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08HV9HSB1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Try these, you get the bonus of the free case anyway, the guide frame is great, just ensure you clean the edges carefully and don’t put greasy fingers there after, lay it on a flat surface with some grip to do it, cant go wrong with these for the money and what you get 👍Yeah, I have fitted a Belkin one myself but still isn't 100% and its really bugging me!
I doubt very much they are colluding in any way. Belkin products are expensive in general plus as this is officially licensed from Apple and is MFI certified they probably have to pay Apple for that. On the flip side you know that with MFI certification it’s 100% compatible. I agree it’s a lot to pay but if it’s a quality product and Belkin products generally are as well as being officially approved by Apple it’s worth it.My only issue with the Belkin is its going to be so overpriced, they probably collude with Apple on pricing.
I still a bit old school as i unpaired my watch and backed up to itunes with encryption when i sold my phone and then today i restored via itunes and a usb cable....took 20 minutes. Phone is done and just updating to iOS14.2.1 and the watch is successfully paired. Just need to update WatchOS and then its all finished.....oh still need to do mini HomePodIt should find your watch and lead you through the pairing, I have quite a few apps and it took hours to set mine up and get everything loaded on, you get the option to do it phone to phone using the old one or from the cloud, phone to phone was going to take 6hrs plus on mine so I opted for cloud option, but in honesty that took just about as long 👍
As far as I’m aware they are offering a very limited service primarily for click and collect only and appointments for going in to look at and purchase products. I don’t think they are offering the screen protector service right now. If you buy one of the many screen protectors on line that come with frame to guide you they’re fairly easy to put on.Does anyone know if Apple Stores in England are fitting Belkin screen protectors despite being a reduced service / express pick-up etc
Yes, the Spigen one I got from Amazon for £10 ish was perfect. The secret is to put it on as soon as you've taken the wrapping off the phone so that no dust etc. can get on the screen. As far as I’m aware they are offering a very limited service primarily for click and collect only and appointments for going in to look at and purchase products.
