I suppose this event was sprung upon us with no leaks at all, I feel your pain 🙄 lol
Has anyone used the iPhone trade in programme when ordering a new iPhone? Good experience? Do they pay out and more importantly is there any risk of slowing down the order process as I don’t want to miss that 23rd Oct delivery date!
Noob here who hasn't pre-ordered online before...
- When pre-ordering how soon do you know whether you've landed a launch day delivery?
- If my confirmation page gives a longer delivery timescale, how easy is it to cancel?
- Do Apple charge or put a hold on the amount straight away, and if yes, how quickly is this refunded/hold taken off if you cancel a pre-order? Or do they only charge the card when its dispatched next week?

FYI: the 3D website to compare phones has updated to include the Pro Max and the 12 Mini for those still undecided.
I think gold will be the least popular this year. For me (as per the pics) its just a little bit too gold

You’ll see the estimated dates before you check out. But be quick as in the time to add it to the basket and checking out dates can slip.
I would say though the last few years haven’t been an issue landing a launch day phone in the first 20 mins or so

I'm definitely holding out for the 12 Pro Max so dug in for the long haul but will be watching how it goes today, with interest. I have no idea know what colour or size to gun for yet, Apple make all colours look so delicious.

Yeah you’re probably right, I’ll likely bail and go for grey... blue is very meh IMO

I thought so. O2 have said they are releasing theirs when pre-orders open though.
Guessing there hoping for rash orders than giving time to compare other networks
Never had a gold phone before, but this years gold just looks so beautiful. Either green or plum for me. Both look incredible together!
I imagine O2 will tell you it's so the other networks don't have a chance to see the O2 tariffs then undercut them. Whilst I'm sure there is some truth in that I suspect it's so they hope you make a rushed decision and don't have time to compare all the networks and tariffs together.
I should have seen this before blindly switching to EE. I wonder if I can call them to see if I can upgrade the tariff. I'm within 14 days of joining so I could always cancel the plan I'm on?
I am not sure how it works, I recently returned a watch under the 14 day return policy, they closed the account and said I had to re-order - but again not sure how it will work in your situation. If you upgraded they normally return the account to the state it was before you upgraded to allow you to upgrade again should you wish to do so.
