I should have seen this before blindly switching to EE. I wonder if I can call them to see if I can upgrade the tariff. I'm within 14 days of joining so I could always cancel the plan I'm on?
You can return your contract to the state it was before you upgraded within 14 days. I did this a few days previously. You have to call their channel upgrades line on 0800 079 0103

Preorder day FOMO setting in. Might jump on board and take the standard 12 model for a spin. Coming from 11 Pro so losing some features but that weight saving with a larger screen is highly tempting.

Bullet points as the same questions keep getting asked 😂

No you cannot pre-order the 12 Pro Max today
No you cannot pre-approve online for the iUP - This has to be done instore, you should be able to reserve a slot
Carrier/Network tariffs/pre-orders are also released when the pre-orders go live from Apple at 1pm

Thanks. Do you know how to reserve a slot for iUP?

Pacific blue seems to be the new green. I suspect that it will be very popular, even though some here have said that they are not keen.

The darker blue of the non-Pro is also popular.

Seems like the blue Pro is popular amongst all my family members - I know 3 others on the IUP and they all want to pre-order the blue (more competition!). Seems to be popular across genders and ages, at least with my extremely limited sample size...

Is anyone on Three? How is their network in terms of speeds? I’m considering a switch as a lot of the good deals on EE are for 24 month contracts and I want to stick with 12.

I don't think you need to wait for the SIM to call them pal, I would give them a call as soon as you can to see what they can do
Looks like they can't even see the number as belonging to the network yet. I ported it over a few days ago.

Depends where you live. IF you're in London like me, you'll want EE.

I'm with 3 and my father has EE. 3 in my area (west yorkshire) is dominant and better than EE by miles, plus my plan doesn't need to be altered to include 5G, it's already in there.

Check your coverage, some areas are better for EE, deals on 3 are good IMO. EE prices seem too much for me even though I can technically afford it.

Surely they can see the number you were allocated by EE? Wont this cause you a problem, in that if you cancel you will lose your number if it ports in?

I doubt i’ll be getting my iPhone 12 on launch day as I don’t like making snap decisions on plans without researching the best deals. If the preorder launches at 1pm, it’ll take me an hour or two to browse the contract deals and the phone stock may or may not be depleted by then. It’s annoying the sites can’t release deal previews to at least give people time to see in advance what is appealing. They obviously know the costs at this point and the retail price of the handset is known.

Feels odd reading this and not being in the usual pre-order hype high (getting a Max). Only three weeks to go and it'll be good to get everyone's opinions of the standard size Pro once they arrive.

With the XS Max 2 years ago, I researched contracts etc, ordered a couple of hours after pre-order began and still got a launch day model. You might be lucky.
