But doesn't say what time today, think i missed it

Morning all, happy pre-order day.

I have been here since the iPhone 4 days, rarely comment, but love to read every post on every page every year. Currently I am on the Upgrade Programme and pay £ 66.45 p/m for the iPhone 11 Pro 256Gb. My plan this year is to buy the iPhone 12 Pro 256Gb and move on to the 24 month 0% with Barclays. If I trade in my Pro I get £ 540 from Apple (I know, I don’t want the hassle of going through another buyer, I can trust Apple to honour the price) this makes my monthly payment £ 22.87 p/m for the new phone after the trade in. Now I know that means the 11 Pro loan is still active and the plan was to keep paying the remaining 6 instalments to clear the loan as the Upgrade Program is over 20 months. Now this would mean I would be paying for 2 loans for a short time, but after the 11 Pro is cleared I would only be paying the £ 22.87 p/m which is quite cheap. Now remember that the Barclays loan is over 24 months so I would not be able to upgrade next year like on the Upgrade Program unless I do the same again like this year and trade in the iPhone 12 Pro for, hypothetically speaking, roughly the same as what I got for the iPhone 11 Pro, £ 540, then take out another Barclays loan on the iPhone 13 Pro and continue to pay 2 loans, but only for 12 more months on one of them. Now in theory this would mean that at that time the 2 loans would cost roughly the same per month as what I will be paying for the iPhone 12 Pro, £ 22.87 p/m, times that by the 2 loans and my question is would that not cheaper than doing the Upgrade Program but still managing to get a new phone each year and then after that just repeat ? I know this way does not include Apple Care but I’m not bothered about that, I also pay £ 13 p/m on Three for Unlimited Everything and I am just looking to see what the cheapest way of paying for a new phone each year would be. Is this a good idea or am I nuts ???

Anybody ?

I wish the Silver/White iPhone never had a silver band. Otherwise I'd be getting this.

Looks like its Gold for me again this year. All previous iPhones apart from 11 Pro have been Black / SG

I am holding out for the arm based MacBook Pro's, until then my 2019 iMac 27" will have to suffice... oh the pain of it all!

I am currently on a MacBook Pro Early 2015 and looking to get my first ever iMac by the end of the year. I was warned about the ecosystem and I told myself I wouldn’t get locked into it. Needless to say I failed miserably 😱

Am I the only one who really doesn't like the graphite this year? I much prefer the blue one and silver, going for blue though personally.

I'm in the same situation and have ordered/received the vouchers. I'm just concerned that Currys won't be offering pre orders at 1pm, and will start at some other time and be out of stock by the time I've realised they've gone live!
I'm also worried that they won't be as efficient at getting the phone delivered as Apple.

I haven't had any experience with pre ordering an iPhone off Currys but I did buy the Series 6 watch when that came out last month. They didn't take preorders on the watch and I had to wing it on launch day online. Their website was terrible with the wrong colours assigned to the pics. I was after the Blue 44mm Sports watch but on the front of the image it showed White sport band 44mm. I was able to get the correct one but you have to be careful. I think for a savings of £90+ I can wait a few extra days if I'm not lucky to get it on launch day

As I can’t check the apple site at the moment can anyone remind me how much apple care is for the the 12 and W Pro? I think it was 149 for the 12 but 199 for the pro? I’ll be buying still torn on 12 or 12 pro or waiting for 12 pro max but if I adde apple care on too then the price difference between them all grows even more for 128gb on all models

149 and 199 again

Looked at the Voda tariffs for the 11Pro as a guide, and I think its time to go SIM free - even with existing customer discount, they are ludicrous.
Carrier contracts are a joke.

I'm going to be having a 12 Pro for £42 p/m from Apple. Then my SIM only contract is £10 P/M. £52 per month for the newest iPhone, 10gb data etc etc and no up front costs.

you'll never find that kind of deal from a carrier

Never done pre order before. Always gone to look at the phones on release day and bought one if they were available.

But going to pre order a 128gb blue 12. Hope I get a launch day delivery but if I don’t then it arrives when it arrives.

Nuts. Don’t pay for things you no longer own and don’t pay overlapping loans.
Given you can presumably afford the current monthly ok, a simple upgrade to the new iup at £61.45 seems the most straight forward to me. Else, I would hand the current phone back to clear the loan and take a new 24m plan if you are keen to reduce your monthly more...but I wouldn’t consider the 13 without being able to pay that loan off!

Next week is going to be a good week.
Pre-orders confirmed
Possibly tracking them from China?
Reviews will be posted to YouTube
Friday aka Xmas 🥳🥳

Historically UK iPhones have always shipped from a UK warehouse....from my understanding...its the US guys that get China tracking
