Fingers crossed! If it arrives early w/c 26th I'll be happy. This is the first time I haven't managed to get a pre-order on launch day (usually order every other year).
my Barclaycard doesn’t have a pending payment yet either for store collection
It clearly doesn't work this way for everyone I'm afraid. Someone posted that they got in online (rather than the App) less than a minute past 13:00. I wasn't able to access the App until about 13:04. Perhaps your "test run" blocked me.

Been a long time since I joined the thrill of the iPhone preorders (used to upgrade every single year, but have stuck with the X for the last three).
I’m not sure what the preordering process has been like in the last two years, but I found this ghastly. Did it through the store app on iOS. Was expecting the site not to be available at 1pm on the dot, but wasn’t prepared for how achingly slow it was. I managed to submit an order for a Pro 256GB a few minutes past, but my credit card was declined (suspect it was the cost + AppleCare, as I bought a silicon case later on with no such issue) so I had to go through the whole thing again, and by that point deliveries had already slipped. Exasperated with the slowness in the iPhone app, I switched to the iPad but that was no better. Plumped for store collection as I’d had my heart set on having it next Friday, but by the time I’d switched my payment card to a debit, the slots had slipped to late evening pickup. Got the very last one of the day and order was processed without issue. Collapsed In a heap after that.30 minutes trying to order something that I’d already “set up to preorder” the day before. You’d think Apple would be old hands at this...

Did your original confirmation email include 23rd as delivery/collection date?
No Apple logos on them so they aren’t fakes as such. Good to see other companies offering them as £59 for a card pouch is obscene!!
I’d be worried about a fake pouch in case the magnet wiped my bank card. Apple sound like they have out some effort in to stop that but I’m not sure all the sellers will have taken the tome to do that.... I’m sure they will in time however
Yeah I traded in my Apple Watch S4 for the S6 and am trading in my iPhone this time.
It does take a while compared with other places. You obviously pay the full mount upfront and they credit the difference they say between 2-3 weeks after receiving your phone. For me, I received a box that I put the old device in and posted. After 2 days, the status said it was received. A week after that it said they had confirmed the value. A week later, it said the payment was being processed and it was in my bank a few days later.
It was all very smooth and easy, but a bit slow compared with other places.

Don't worry about it, mines the same. Been told 23rd delivery and they've taken the money already
their site is getting hammered at the moment so will be slightly glitchy
I very much doubt that the phones ordered today are still in China. More than likely they are in the UK already.
Yup I agree with this. Most likely already here and therefore can 'guarantee' the delivery.
Are SIM-free phones from elsewhere actually SIM-free or do they lock to the first carrier still?

Yes, confirmation email says “Items to be picked up-in store; Available 23 Oct”. Appointment window is 15 mins.
