It often takes a while for details to sync up on their backend systems on release day. If you’ve got the email it should be fine, it should all have updated and be showing by tomorrow.
I managed to sort it myself. For whatever reason the order went through as a guest order even though I had logged in.
I’ve now added it to my Apple ID with the order number.

Last year I did the swap to an esim ( EE ). I'm assuming the transfer of esim to new iPhone is really straight forward and painless

I came to my senses and canceled my order. I’ve got a 14 pro one terabyte, it’s gonna last me years and when I do get a new phone, it’s gonna be so much better than what I consider to be the same but different and it’s not different enough to warrant over £1000 for a port and a couple of gigs of ram, so I’m glad I managed to get my senses together and not get carried away by the hype too much in the end before the payment went completely through

I know I’m bitter and resentful for missing out on release day, despite pre preing and getting nowhere aside from a vague mid Oct delivery date, but why are stores sold out for pick up?

I need a 101 on supply and demand.

Surely Apple knew they’d be popular?
Why can I find no stock within a 100 mile radius?
Why can’t the orders accumulate over the course of the pre order day and then stock is delivered per store based on demand?

Again, I know I’m bitter and there must be some logistical logic but I’m shocked that all pick up stock is gone.

yeah im probably just going to cancel both my 15 PM and Watch 9 order if i can't get this sorted soon. Been at this for over 4 hours now trying to place a ****ing order. It's a joke. I wasn't even going to bother upgrading this year.

Didn't work for me. also 50 mins on hold. Dude was saying "If you have an order number you're fine. It'll sort itself out soon or call back in an hour". Asked if he could take my details and do it over the phone but he wasn't having it. Also said other people have phoned up and had it processed but nah he wasn't interested.

Phoning back to get someone else more helpful.
That is pretty bad - The person I had was more than happy to help. They tried the original payment first (It was Apple Pay) and when that failed they took my card details and it was all golden.

Hopefully you get to speak to someone more helpful!

I’m sorry this has happened and understand the frustration but there’s hope. Stores are actually the best for this because the restock every weekend. Everyday Saturday to be precise, so it’s worth checking stock for pick up every weekend after launch. Good luck

EE are complete cowboys.

Phoning since 1, promises of calls back, even texts from advisors saying they’re going to call back at XYZ time - nothing.

Must’ve called about 15 times, in the last 4 hours.

Nothing, just sheer incompetence just like every year. What rubs it is when their robot says “rated the best network for 10 years running”, yeah right!

Hundred times this. Usually when the honeymoon period is over(week or so) you would regret upgrading. It’s a decent upgrade but nothing major, especially if you already own a 14 Pro.

Most expensive network for 10 years running...

I'm EE customer, might switch soon, they built a 5G mast next to my house in Hampshire nearly 3 years ago now, and still haven't turned it on (presumably waiting for more suckers customers to sign up to 5G first). Mean time, 3 have turned theirs on, so...

My gut feeling is 13 Pro to 15Pro won't feel like much this year. Although my 13 mini feels a bit sluggish at times on iOS17, and RAM management feels very aggressive.
If I had 14 pro I definitely wouldn't have gone 15pro.

Very painless. It might be a bit slow to switch on launch day (with everyone doing it at once), and scrutinise your next bill, they tried to charge me for a physical sim (£1.50) earlier this year, despite my definitely selecting the free esim option (and that was activated...)

Mine was unavailable for pickup too. Now getting it delivered 5 days after launch day. TBH I'm not too fussed with launch day or not - as long as I get it within the next few weeks I'm fine with that.

I have a 12 Pro Max and i've been noticing it's not as smooth since I upgraded to the iOS 17 RC. Some animations definitely feel slower. It's not terrible but I guess this is the phone starting to age (aside from battery life which is at 88%).

I could probably go another year but decided to upgrade. Kinda regretting it now.

I think I pay £21 for unlimited calls, texts, data and 1 swappable benefit. For sim Only I'm pretty happy with that.
