I think there are going to be a lot of people buying a Max for the bigger optical zoom that are going to regret the weight and size down the line.
For those of us who didn’t have any luck securing a launch day phone, what are the chances/odds of any stock being available on Friday? Is there a time to be checking the Apple Store to see if some can be picked up in store?
Really? That is bad news, I am not updating my phone until the new one arrives on Friday, but planned to do the update on the watch.
Try on the Apple Store app for Saturday pick ups and keep trying that way

I managed to get my pre order in for a natural titanium 15 pro max. But due to the sh**y APPLE STORE app, my delivery date is Oct 2nd-9th. Not too fussed about it though really. I’m upgrading from a 12 Pro bought on launch day. UR are offering me £350 for it, so will probably offload it to them if my wife doesn’t want it!! She’s still using an 11.
I plan to use it with no case (GO NAKED), as I have AppleCare+.
So my question is, would using a MagSafe Apple Wallet on the back, allow the phone to sit flat on a surface?
What I mean is, will it level up with the camera bump? It’s the only reason why I’ve had a case on my iPhones in the past. But definitely want to use the 15 Pro Max as it’s meant to this time around.

They’re all incremental upgrades now. Remember most “normal” people upgrade every 2-3 years, if that: that’s the target market. Add up 3 sets of incremental upgrades and it starts to look like a bigger change.
Curious - why would you do that rather than waiting 2 weeks to get what you really wanted?
This (and the ability to get them to send you a replacement phone before you send them your damaged one) is why I get AC+.

On past experience the chances are virtually zero so, realistically you’re looking at Saturday onwards. It also helps if you’re prepared/able to travel, as whilst you’re local Apple Store may not have stock, another store might.
Obviously no guarantee it will be the same this year but last year there was stock online with Apple at 6am on the Friday for pick up at Apple stores the same day.
Previously I think it used to be the Saturday but changed last year (from recollection).
Personally I find the Natural Titanium pretty dull. I’ve preordered the Pro Max 512GB in Titanium Blue.

Will probably go for the previous leather version too. Fine woven doesn’t sounds great…
Not always 6am, I checked various times to of day always managed to find some during the evening, around 7-9pm I found was optimal for Saturday pick ups. Always found them Friday night for Saturday. But like you said all dependant. I just knew that was my local stores deliveries
better making the jump to the 15PM rather than the 14PM as it will be that little lighter... the 14PM was a behemoth

start checking from first thing on Friday.. pretty sure there was stock last year so who knows!
also, the whole 6am start went out the window and stock in the early few weeks of the release last year came and went throughout the day... that inventory watch app was great for finding stock
