On the musicMagpie topic, I had a Apple Watch Series 8 45mm Aluminium GPS quoted saved for a few weeks at £264 (currently the price is £210) and I sent it in on Friday. Just got the payment confirmation of the full £264.

I have to add my S8 was in mint condition and I sent everything with it including original box and accessories.

Happy with that.. now tempted to send my iPhone 13 Pro 128GB quote saved with them for £550 once the 15PM arrives on Saturday. £550 is not bad price for a 2 year old model.

Fingers crossed.. will keep you guys updated. :)

I know this has probably been asked multiple times before

But how exactly do you join the iPhone upgrade programme?

I’m back to debating the 15P but thinking about trading in my 14 Pro and getting the 15 Pro but on the upgrade programme so I can just get new phone each year

I've never had issues with MM in the past.. it was just this year it looked like they wouldn't honour the saved quotes (fair enough) but the risk of then falling back to a 'today' price would have hurt... better at the time to get the money from UR who worked out well.

I'd ask...

why do you want to join the upgrade programme over just buying with 0% over 20 months?

I'd say it's pretty much guaranteed that the "later in the cycle" colour will be Product Red. Given the normal iPhone 15 has pastel/muted colours I think it's reasonable to expect it'll have a pastel red colour for that and then maybe the Crimson Red/dark red for the Pro.

Just conjecture but it seems odd for them not to release a Product Red phone. When was the last time Apple didn't release one?
Yeah, Product Red is coming in February/March.

We've reached the stage I think of as Schroedingers iPhone launch...

That period where you know you've got an order
It says processing/preparing to ship
You've probably been teased with a credit card charge by now
You're just not totally totally sure it'll really arrive on Friday until Thursday when that tracking arrives :)

Guys, Apologies…. A couple of questions if I may:-
1. What is the Wattage on the USB C Charge Cable that comes with the iPhone Pro Max?
Apple sell a 1mtr 60W USB C for £19 and if you up it to 2mtr’s it goes up to 240W for £29.

2. When is monies taken from your account?

Can’t decide which expensive case to get. Either the torro leather case which has rubber sides instead of leather. The Caudabe sheath, another mous case or the benks case. Out of all of them the mous is the most expensive. Most of the other leather cases I’ve seen are fully leather so one drop and the leathers ruined.
The highly annoying, over enthusiastic bloke on the Mous adverts would stop me buying their case, however good it was !

I was under the impression you could give the phone back on the upgrade programme so then when the new one is out next year I can just give it back and get a new one
you can but you'll be about ~£200 worse off than doing it yourself.

with IUP, after 11 months you can upgrade by handing the phone back to apple and then starting the whole process again on the new phone. Apple will clear off the Barclays loan etc.

in reality you might have say £700 left on the Barclays loan.. if you sold/traded in the phone you will get more than the remaining.. say £800 (what I got for my 14PM). so you could sell the phone and pay off the remaining balance yourself, in theory saving £100.

Also, with IUP you have to take out Apple care... again with you hand the phone back to Apple, they will just close down the cover. If you sold your phone youself and paid off the loan, you call apple and cancel the apple care cover (you'll usually have 50% of the cover remaining) and they give you the money back for that portion.. (again, I got £130 back for mine yesterday.)

so by not just handing the phone back to apple and doing a little work yourself, you can be a few hundred pounds better off!

also, IUP doesn't guarantee release date stock.. you still have to pre-order like everyone else.

this was the process I followed with IUP came out but now for the last few years Apple offer 0% as well, that's what I use and follow the same principle.

also, this way.. if you're inclined to not use apple care, you don't have to buy it.

My order with Apple is still showing as processing😡 for delivery 28 Sep to 3 Oct. When can I expect it to ship?
anytime from Friday onwards for PFS and then usually 'shipped' the day before is due..

apple have bought phones, which have a close to launch date, in a bit.. but not way of knowing for sure if it will happen again

FYI I think 1 or 2 releases ago loads of people upgraded to earlier delivery but DPD had so many iPhone's they missed the early deliveries and people had to claim the £5 delivery back from DPD.
I had that with a different product and although they promised over the phone 3 times that they would return the money, they did not. Not only they didn't deliver on that occasion. But they also lost the parcel.

I had to call AMEX for a chargeback.
It's not that £5 would save me. But they were rude on the phone, did not deliver and did not return the £5 "upgrade".

Admittedly, it has only happened once over the hunderds of deliveries over many years.
