Which 15 Pro are you getting?

My credit card has been charged for my outstanding balance on my old loan (the difference between the loan value and trade in value).

I managed to finally pick a 256 pro from Currys. Comes launch day so May have to divert to a drop off. Seems stock is low everywhere and o2 charging over retail price now.

I don’t think they’ll bring out a new ultra for a couple of years at least. They literally just made the 2 because the new standard watch had features it didn’t.
In which case I will either upgrade to the Ultra 2 next year or wait for the next iteration when ever that is. The new double finger tap feature is cool but not enough to justify upgrading right now. I went from a Series 5 to the Ultra so I'm sure I can wait if I have to a few years.

What do you mean by "taken"?
Is it just an authorisation / pending transaction or a final transaction (meaning they have gotten your money)?

It’s not available in the account but when you click on the transaction it does say pending, so I guess it’s just set aside/ held.

When did you place the order? I am looking to get 512PM, hoping it will be delivered on launch date.

Unless it's showing as cleared on a statement (or online banking view) it's likely just a pre-authorisation.

BUT - normally (at least in the UK with credit cards and debit cards), even if it "drops off" (ie. the available balance jumps back up), the authorisation still entitles them to take the money within a certain period - even if that put you over your limit.

So are all Grade A literally brand new from CEX? Or can they be very good condition used? Not sure if I’d fancy a used watch
Not exactly - it can depend a bit on the tester/branch policy. My local branch in farnborough follow the rules correctly (strictly), that A grade means absolutely no marks at all - even my old iPhone which was mint except for typical wear INSIDE the lightning port became a B as a result.
Other cases, I've seen A grades with a mark or two (either accepted by tester, or maybe missed...)

it's never "brand brand" new, in that it will be tested (sealed boxes of electronics will be opened for testing), but often it could literally have been opened for first time, tested, and then sold. They also can't say new otherwise VAT is due. I saw this once buying an iPhone where it was still in the minimum period for buying AppleCare+ so can't have been more than 60 days since first activation.

Source: me, I never work(ed) there, but have chatted a lot with staff in my local branches over the years.

Why sell. I have both. Hermes some days, Ultra others.

Love my Hermes, love my Ultra. Simple. Remember, there are seven days to wear a watch lol.

Apple offered me £120 trade in for the Hermes!

Yeah, Grade A is minty mint when trading in, but when buying a Grade A you don’t get a strap, so a good clean with an Anti bacterial wipe is an easy option.

To add: A check this morning, my AW charge has already cleared and is on the statement. I think the notification came up Friday or Saturday.

After receiving my torras case and esr screen protectors torras emailed me to tell me I’m their “100th warranty register” and that they want to send me a free gift, so they’ve sent me their screen protectors with the fancy applicator. These ones have the speaker cutout and are slightly taller than the esr ones, going to try these out first to see what the application is like.
What a coincidence, I was also their 100th warranty register! 🤣. Waiting on my free £25 gift to arrive.
