Well I intended to rock my Pro Max naked this year as a first with only a screen protector. After seeing JerryRig, I'm definitely buying a leather case, I would not want to drop mine!
He is always honest in his videos. I can't recall any previous iPhone rear glass shattering on his first bend attempt. Kind of frustrating given the premium amount Apple charge. Also the surface is too easy to scratch. Please don't let it be like Jet Black! Only time will tell if any long term structural issues occur but that is exactly what Apple Care is designed for. Also interesting the Pro held up better than the Pro Max.
Potential durability and Apple titanium marketing aside, it's still by far the best iPhone in terms of software experience, speed and cameras. So for everyone still waiting, don't be put off! 5 x telephoto lens is superb. Video is best in class & I'm looking forward to saving ProRes log videos directly onto an attached 2TB USB-C storage before ultra fast transfer. The action button is mega, you can program it to shortcuts within apps too.
I'm absolutely loving my Pro Max after a year spent with Samsung. If I ever switch back to the dark side it would be for Google Pixel software not OneUI.
Nope, mine's normal weight. You've got Bold Text switched onAnyone noticed or commented on the new font layout? More bold and I love it! Don’t know if I’ve accidentally changed settings but looks great. Here’s a screenshot. Is everyone else like this?
Yeah I went from the Z Fold 4 to an S23 Ultra but found it too unwieldy in the pockets and in general use. Way too big & it is too wide as well as long. So I went back to the Fold 4 and now the Pro Max.
The Pro is fine if you don't need the extra screen real estate or telephoto camera but the Pro Max is the much better choice coming from an S23 Ultra.

Loving the 15 pm. Feels so much better than the 13 pro max. Just waiting for my watch ultra 2 to be delivered today and that’s me done for the year ☺️
My DPD s**tshow continues...
After paying £4.99 for a delivery today I've just had a message saying 'Parcel delayed due to unexpected issue' and now won't be delivered until Monday
Goodness only knows if I'll get a refund, I can't get any replies from DPD via WhatsApp today. (I'll send a strongly worded but polite email to JL customer service to say that as long as they use DPD I won't be ordering anything from them again for home delivery.)
A quick and easy collection at Apple Edinburgh this morning. Heading home now to setup my 15PM. Sent my 13PM away to UR this morning, decided against using MusicMagpie.
Went to a Music Magpie Kiosk today and happy to report I received the full amount of the price I locked in on the 13th (£700-£20 kiosk fee) after a bit of a faff.
I took a microfibre cloth with me and wiped the phone and machine before handing the phone over, first time I tried they said my phone wasn’t in the condition I said it was (excellent) and quoted a revised price of £560. 😳 I knew for a fact my phone was pristine and I’ve never sold any device anywhere that hasn’t been. I removed the phone, gave the machine screen/lights a better wipe over with the cloth and tried again and I got paid out the full amount. The money was in my account before I got home.
Take a cloth with you guys.
Anyway my new Apple Care plans aren’t showing in subscription even though they’ve already taken the money for them? Any Ideas?
My old Watch plan still hasn’t been sorted by Vodafone so its not on my new watch and I have to wait until 6:03 tonight before they will do anything. 🙄

How does this actually work as i'm going there on Monday to do the same.
Is it done via cameras or is there someone in there doing a physical inspection?

For the Apple care go to Settings > General > About > Coverage > Select your device > there or select Manage
It should say somewhere “link” with your Apple ID.
14 pro ESR protector has more coverage but due to the curved edges is a no go.
Essentially, if you want the best coverage and aren't so concerned about price, then Torras Glassgo appears to be the one to go for.
If you want the best bang for buck but with ever so slightly thicker black borders then ESR ammorite is the one to go for.
If you don't want black borders then Spigen is the one to choose, although coverage is very borderline.
I've ordered the Torras even though i hate reapplying screen protectors.
I've used the ESR on my brother's phone since he doesn't care and wouldn't notice. And returning the ESR wouldn't be particularly cost effective to me.

This is the first year I’m even considering AppleCare+, never usually think it’s worth it.
To an extent I still don’t, certainly shouldn’t be having to take out extra cover to protect against a potential design flaw.
Cameras and lights. Make sure you take a cloth and give inside the machine a good wipe (glass screen/lights) obviously wipe your phone down. It was my first time using MM too.
