Had an amazing experience in the Liverpool Apple Store whilst picking up my new iPhone 15 Pro Max yesterday.
Guy who was serving me asked what I was doing with my old phone (iPhone 13 Pro Max) I replied by saying either eBay or one of the other buying sites online.
He asked if I was prepared to sell back to Apple, did a couple of tests which lasted a few minutes and offered me more than what the majority of sites were offering elsewhere.
I said I was happy to accept and he put the money in my bank there and then.
Felt a bit weird watching him reset my old phone and take it off me when I wasn’t expecting it but walked out of the store really happy.
 
I take AppleCare every year but this year I really feel its importance. So far the stress tests are showing more vulnerability.

For sure. I was going to go naked with Applecare+ but even that seems silly so i've opted for a super slim case.

I dont want to drop it from a small height and it shatter as it's still inconvenience. Honestly was hoping for more duarability than this in the tests i've seen on youtube.

That's good to know. If MM kiosk mess me around I think I will take my 14PM into Apple too.
 
Went to a Music Magpie Kiosk today and happy to report I received the full amount of the price I locked in on the 13th (£700-£20 kiosk fee) after a bit of a faff.

I took a microfibre cloth with me and wiped the phone and machine before handing the phone over, first time I tried they said my phone wasn’t in the condition I said it was (excellent) and quoted a revised price of £560. I knew for a fact my phone was pristine and I’ve never sold any device anywhere that hasn’t been. I removed the phone, gave the machine screen/lights a better wipe over with the cloth and tried again and I got paid out the full amount. The money was in my account before I got home.

Take a cloth with you guys.

Anyway my new Apple Care plans aren’t showing in subscription even though they’ve already taken the money for them? Any Ideas?

My old Watch plan still hasn’t been sorted by Vodafone so its not on my new watch and I have to wait until 6:03 tonight before they will do anything.

Was it a saved quote that you had a while and checked out?

Did the kiosk checkout option give you the full price quoted, as mine is reduced if I chose kiosk
 
What exactly did the email say? I have the Mujjo case and haven’t received an email.

Well I intended to rock my Pro Max naked this year as a first with only a screen protector. After seeing JerryRig, I'm definitely buying a leather case, I would not want to drop mine!

He is always honest in his videos. I can't recall any previous iPhone rear glass shattering on his first bend attempt. Kind of frustrating given the premium amount Apple charge. Also the surface is too easy to scratch. Please don't let it be like Jet Black! Only time will tell if any long term structural issues occur but that is exactly what Apple Care is designed for. Also interesting the Pro held up better than the Pro Max.

Potential durability and Apple titanium marketing aside, it's still by far the best iPhone in terms of software experience, speed and cameras. So for everyone still waiting, don't be put off! 5 x telephoto lens is superb. Video is best in class & I'm looking forward to saving ProRes log videos directly onto an attached 2TB USB-C storage before ultra fast transfer. The action button is mega, you can program it to shortcuts within apps too.

I'm absolutely loving my Pro Max after a year spent with Samsung. If I ever switch back to the dark side it would be for Google Pixel software not OneUI.
I’ve seen some posts with iPhones arriving smashed out of the box - thus, this supports that.

May I ask what capacity and how much did you get for it? Apple trade in online offered lower than almost all other websites for my 128 13PM. I’ve now decided I’m giving it to family but curious about your experience.

I emailed their support as they describe the 15 cases, for plus anyway, as fitting 14 and 15, I said dimensions were ever so different but said would fit.

Just pointless me ordering if they are all faulty.

Looking into it a bit more apparently it’s all the Mujjo Shield cases which are now unavailable on Amazon.

You can still get the regular leather ones which should be fine. I didn’t actually realise the shield one was different so ordered by mistake

Might be able to get slightly more elsewhere but too may horror stories, also every time I’ve tried to sell in the past I’ve had emails to say original offer would be lowered.
It was stress free and money in bank straight away.

What is the difference?
 
I have the standard leather and not the shield, the difference is the shield has plastic buttons and seems to have some sort of internal bumper for impact damage.

So it's only the shield that's been recalled, makes sense as my Mujjo case is working fine on MagSafe

I preordered the 15 Pro Max 1TB in Natural Titanium last Friday (upgrading from 13PM) - and I was given the delivery window of 27th Sep - 2nd Oct. I did see yesterday morning I was charged, and the status updated to preparing to ship.

I saw some posts in this thread that had the same delivery window, and have theirs already on the way. Hopefully mine still ships this weekend. 🙏

Not bad I managed to get £410 for my iPhone 12 Pro selling it on Sphock in April was only 11 months old with 94% battery though I think that’s what swings it for buyers 😂

Got the Purple 14 Pro after that went

Do hope the iPhone 16 Pro comes in better colours next year there looking abit butch this year again 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh FFS...

The app showed the driver was 3 stops away from me and then I got a "Sorry we missed you" notification with delivery rescheduled for Monday. Definitely no attempt was made to deliver. I'll notify JL but I dare say there's nothing really they can do.
Same thing happened with me this morning. DPD 15 mins away the got the same message as you. He’s coming back tomorrow. Apparently!

I got £670 for my immaculate 256GB sierra blue 13PM but had to lock in price before the new iPhone and send off after announcement so I’ve had no phone for a week now but my 15 PM is preparing to ship hoping I get it next week
 
My DPD s**tshow continues...

After paying £4.99 for a delivery today I've just had a message saying 'Parcel delayed due to unexpected issue' and now won't be delivered until Monday :mad::mad::mad: Goodness only knows if I'll get a refund, I can't get any replies from DPD via WhatsApp today. (I'll send a strongly worded but polite email to JL customer service to say that as long as they use DPD I won't be ordering anything from them again for home delivery.)
All couriers are a nightmare lately don’t deal with FedEx though there the worst we used them to go and collect a Incubator everything went sweet till they hit the last depot and parcel vanished into thin air there customer service is terrible all they say is sorry we can’t find it in the end bought another one with Royal Mail which arrived this week still awaiting on a refund 30 days wait 🤪

Story cut short I hope you get your phone lol 😂
