Amazon did have a bit of this happening and started sending codes for expensive things, though I think this was to make it harder for the customer to get a refund. I am very wary of buying expensive things from there for this reason. Husband bought a very expensive camera lens from there, that wasn't for sale anywhere else and opened it at the doorstep, just incase there was a cheap book in the package instead.
The 2 Factor code wouldn’t have helped here though, as OP would have given code and therefore “signed for” the package.

My 27th - 2nd still stuck on PFS since Friday, was hoping it would magically change this morning but no luck!

Following DPD's double fail on Friday and Saturday I now have a timeslot today of 15:31-16:31 for my order from JL so I've some 7 hours of app watching ahead of me (which I don't mind too much as long as they actually deliver the damn thing today!)

EDIT: The app has just updated to show that my delivery will be the 95th on the driver's round

So, Mobile Phones Direct do have the phones in stock, but they're out of stock of the free prepaid SIM card they include with all phones... which means on their system the order won't ship. I've just called and they're going to remove the SIM card from the order which will release the phone for delivery tomorrow.

Just in case anybody else is wondering why their order hasn't been dispatched yet!

Wow. That is awful.

Wonder if a warehouse worker nabbed the phone for himself and just chucked a load of random crap in the box so the shipment went out.
More likely just a labelling error (wrong package sent to the address): I can't imagine Amazon aren't checking people as they leave the warehouse at the end of their shift to make sure they're not leaving with small very expensive electronic items, can you?
So over all after a few days use phone very fast action button good. But really it’s just like IPhone 14 pro. Once usb c is out and phone in a case you can’t tell what it’s made of or what charges it. Seems next year will be big upgrade.
Unlikely based on what's been rumoured (minor size increase, 16 Pro gets the 120mm telephoto camera). If you look back you can see that they tend to stick with a form factor for around 3 years so next big design change probably iPhone 18 (or maybe they'll wait for 20)?

Every year the stock trickles store by store across the country during the morning. Often soon before or soon after the store opens
i think you're right - but sigh, today there isn't any stock that's uploading. either that or i'm missing them before they come on...

I would like to get AppleCare on my iPhone PM delivery due 2-9 October, I wondered when it will start though as it seems to be when you pay for it rather than on delivery of phone, anyone know if this is right. I don't want to pay and then my phone doesn't arrive until the 9th as I will lose 2 weeks, even more had I bought it when I ordered on the 15th, I didn't add AppleCare then as I wanted to read up about it. I'm thinking I may need to wait until it starts the delivery process.
The date the Apple Care starts is always adjusted to the day you set up and start using your device. So you don’t actually lose and coverage days.

For anyone that’s interested. My wife’s 12 pro vs my 15 Pro - Both blue!

That's very interesting. What I take from it, more than anything, is that the 15 pro is actually a little less wide. probably makes it holding it easier! although the 12 pro wasn't super heavy. hope she's enjoying the upgrade!

Yeah I agree, slightly less wide and nicer to hold than the 13 / 14 series but comparable somewhat to the 12.

By the way no upgrade for her! She is happy with the 12 Pro so 15 pro is for me !

Loving my blue iPhone 15Pro, in my hand and pocket it does feel lighter!

Got to figure out what I want to use my action button for - was thinking of it being a shortcut to allow me to unlock the charge port on my Tesla.

Just buy it when it arrives - you have 60(?) days to activate AppleCare from when you get the device (can’t remember if it’s receive or activate).

And yes, if you buy AppleCare at the point of purchase, it’s activated when they dispatch IIRC. A bit of annoying implementation really - and I was told by a CS rep that if you cancel, you can’t take it out again on the same product.
That’s not strictly true. Yes initially the Apple Care starts from the day you preordered or ordered but it’s always adjusted to the day you set up and start using your device.

I preordered my phone on the 15th and it was delivered on the 22nd so initially my Apple Care started on the 22nd but I didn’t set up my iPhone until yesterday which was the 24th. I have the monthly theft and loss plan so mine actually now renews on October 26th.

Thanks to those that helped yesterday with my MM selling process advice!

To share ( 3rd year in a row) another really positive and smooth experience with MM!

Started saving my basket early September. Finally placed the selling order on Friday 22nd when the new phone arrived.

1. Sent it special delivery (£7.50) on Friday 22nd
2. Delivered Saturday 23rd
3. Processed Sunday 24th
4. Full pay out Monday 25th ( money has already cleared in my account this AM)

iPhone 14 Pro 256GB unlocked - Deep Purple
£710 payout with no disputes or low offers.

Happy days!

Ordered through O2 UK on launch day at around 2pm - husband's Blue 256GB Pro Max arrived on 22nd, my White 256gb Pro Max has been delayed. Originally we were both told they'd be delayed. Have had nothing from o2 to say when they'll be getting more stock.

It’s something I never thought of doing. I think this is something to keep in mind for the future especially with high value and/or hard to get items. That said I’m not usually home for deliveries but I might have to start taking days of when I’m expecting a delivery.
