Ermmmm because they want my business perhaps?

Have you never returned something and exchanged for something cheaper and they refund the difference? You’d think I’m asking for it for free by the tone of your reply!
Nothing in my tone of reply, you asked a question and I gave you an answer, you then asked your question again despite me giving you an answer. And it's you that wants an exchange, Apple have already got your money. I'd suggest you curb your attitude when you go into the store

Think I want to exchange my finewoven case for a silicone, can you do this in store and they refund the difference? I’d rather just do a swap than refund and re-purchase if that makes sense?

You won’t get a refund on the difference. You can ask them to put the amount for a silicone case on to gift card and pay with that and have the rest refunded back to original. Can’t see them refusing that. Generally they would just refund you and you purchase again.

No, and why would they? The simplest thing is to refund you your current item under the 14 day return. Then you do what you want to do afterwards. Even when I wanted to change one silicone case colour to another, they refunded and repurchased.

Yep this is usual way. most times they will offer to put it on a gift card so there isn’t transactions back and from the bank.

Mine arrived today as well.

It’s still restoring from my iCloud back up which is taking ages. I download a new eSIM from the EE app. Funny that for Microsoft Authenticator I had to go through the recovery process. I’m pretty sure last time it automatically transferred - not sure if it’s because I didn’t directly transfer from my old phone

I also installed the ESR 14 Pro Max Screen protector - it’s not perfect but its not actually that bad so I don’t know if I’ll bother getting the 15 version.
For some reason my Authy did not restore my 2FA from iCloud backup 😭

Mine arrives tomorrow.
Anyone a little concerned about the easily breakable rear glass videos circling the net?

I bought a case once, well in advance of my phone being delivered. Turns out the reviews of the case weren’t great so I decided to return/exchange it.

Sure it will all be right in the end.

I figured. People at two Apple stores told me restocks happened online at 6.00, but alas, here we are.

They happen at 6am for for bother store stock and iUP stock. Download inventory watch app to get notifications when stock appears.

Have there actually been any restocks at 6.00 am? I am here, 3 mins after 6:00 feeling like an idiot.
I've tried this method that some EU users (Germany) shared on various forums, but it didn't pan out for me. Been checking for two days straight, and no phones showed up down south at 6 am, or before/after store hours. Instead, I've noticed stock come up at random times during the day and late in the evening.

I managed to secure both 15P and PM yesterday for in store collection.

Yeah I was at 6.00 am on the dot for store pick up. Noting at all. And unfortunately I can’t download that app since I don’t have Ventura installed on my mac.

Just be aware main stock is added at 6am. If you are later this soon after launch you will miss out.

Then stock appears in and out during the day as devices are cancelled. This happens with both store stock and iUP. IUP is more likely to appear throughout the day because if the collection windows are missed they are returned to iUP stock and available immediately. Store stock is purchased when ordering and therefore you have 7 days to collect.

So they should be easier to come by after Friday as you'd have all the non-IUP cancellations and non-pickups on top of potential restocks?

Yes, and yes. Thank you for the information although I feel like I am being a tiny bit patronised. And yes I was there refreshing before 6:00 am.

I second this. I've also been refreshing since before 6am this morning with no luck. I think Apple have changed the stock release times in comparison to previous years. I saw on another forum that generally they are now scattered throughout the morning at random times.

Potentially yes, I can't see why not. The first 3-4 weeks after launch it very much a lottery. By the Wednesday last year I'd managed to reserve 4 iUP devices. It is all timing.

When they close at night they update what stock they have for both sale and iUP along with deliveries, this is then available at 6am to reserve/pay for. Some stores may not even get stock, they may even transfer stock between store stock and iUP stock.
