Anyone have any tips on trying to score a iPhone 15 Pro in-store? - from what I've been told by apple staff in-store they don't have any set dates shipments come in, nor know the contents - not sure how true that is.

But one store colleague mentioned ordering online for delivery then cancelling it thereby giving a priority slot for pickup?

Anyone had any experience with that?

My 15PM was out for delivery yesterday 11:31-12:31 DHL and the guy rocks up at 9:30 thank god I was in!!! I said it’s about early init?

man said he was in the area so thought why not deliver now he must of knew what it was.

anyway coming from a 13PM ( skipped ) 14 series yup 1st time ever I haven’t done it yearly. I’m impressed I love the dynamic island over the silly notch. weight difference doesn’t bother me I don’t mind heavy phones as I have a MagSafe wallet and case.

5G seems way more responsive with the X70 chip vs X60.

phone feels super responsive, love the slim bezels reminds me of my C2 42” OLED. screen colours are definitely improved over 13PM. always on display is actually really good.

USB-C finally!!!

Don’t think I will be upgrading for 2-3 years now happy man

I genuinely underestimated the demand this year, even the 1TB SKU's seem to be sold out over multiple apple stores across the UK in every colour option, so much for the cost of living crisis!

That’s the power of an extra physical button!

Have to say having got my 15 pro on launch day I’m not all that impressed with the battery life.

I don’t think it’s a lot better than my 3 year old 12 with 85% battery health!

How’s everyone else finding it?

Apologies for double posting - excitement, fatigue, and frustration got the better of me. WFH means I had my Mac on the table, distracting me from work, refreshing the store page every minute or so in hopes of finding a nearby in-store availability. How stupid of me to think I'll be able to grab a phone last Saturday. This whole process consumed my entire evening yesterday and nearly all of today.

Managed to secure the 15P 256GB for my other half during the day and approx. 15mins ago managed to finally grab one for myself, albeit reluctantly opting for the 1TB model - a decision that felt almost compelled upon me, in a comical way.

Was astonishing to see the speed at which these phones sold out - how fast do folks checkout? The 1TB variants stayed up for sale for a good 10mins before vanishing. In contrast, the 128GB/256GB 15P vanished almost instantly. Despite my willingness to travel to London, I failed twice to secure the 256GB 15PM, as they were snapped up before I could finalise the checkout.

In any case, this is my first step back into the iPhone ecosystem since the iPhone 5, and it's certainly a substantial upgrade for someone who has always been with Samsungs; sold my Z Fold 4 512GB that I paid £1800, a device that after 7 months was on sale for £800 on eBay. Sold my earbuds, Samsung watch and bought everything Apple.

Heard that Apple cases are not that good and too expensive? I bought some Spine cases as always had Spigen, but will have a look at these cases in store tomorrow. Can someone please recommend me a good case? I already bought Spigen cases for both phones. This one, in matte black: https://www.spigen.com/products/iphone-15-pro-max-case-ultra-hybrid

XtremeSkins are amazing, I have used for last year on both phone and MacBook. They aren't despatching as yet as they were waiting for the devices so they could correctly line them up etc. Should be sending by end of this week. I have asked for an update.
I had a Despatched email for my Brushed Titanium skins last Thursday.

They were ordered on BOGOF the night before.

Yeah they sent out all the despatch notes but it says in the email if it is a preordered item it will be despatched later

Never heard of this and doubt that works, you just have to keep watching for stock on both main purchase and iUP.

Fine, at least as good as my 14 Pro.

I think you’re experiencing a placebo effect, based on what you’ve been reading.

Are people finding the website or the Apple Store app best for finding stock? The website never loads it’s just a spinning circle.

Is there anyway to automate stock notifications for store pickup? Seems incredibly impractical to keep refreshing the Apple Store app throughout the day!?
