Picture the scene. It’s September 22nd, new iPhone day. I get up extra early, drive the 50 miles to Cambridge to pick my my iPhone upgrade program reservation. A nice new 15 pro max in natural titanium. I park up and get to the store all excited. I check in, and meet my specialist, he gets the phone brought to us. I think to myself, the box looks a little small. Anyway, we start the process, and he says, “How come you’ve gone for a Pro this year and not a pro max?”. I say, “I haven't” He says this is a pro. Guess which numb nuts reserved the wrong phone? That’s right, this plonker. I feel the colour drain out of me and drag myself back to the car for what seemed a longer journey than the one here. I decided to login to my EE account it shows, 28 day availability on all devices. However it says if you login and upgrade it can be with you in 24 hours. Eureka, I quickly place my order before someone else’s nabs it and smugly make my way home. I get my new upgrade documents emailed and can’t believe my luck. It gets to this morning and no despatch email. I login to my EE account again, and notice my contract has reverted back to the old one. I give them a call. “We have no stock, we don’t have any stock when you ordered” EE are telling more lies that that dude from The Lies of P. Big Hairy Balls I loudly exclaim. Anywhere I open the apple app, stick one in my basket, and check availability nothing, in my closest 12 stores. Bobbins. I then trawl through this very forum, get to the last page of the thread and think, I’ll just have another look. Lo and behold there’s one in Milton Keynes, I quickly reserve it, checking 8 different times so I don’t make a huge cock up. I drive the hour and a half to MK, (who I have now forgiven for inventing a new football team) and pick her up, and wow, she’s a beauty. Currently typing this on my iPhone 15 Pro Max Titanium, all 512 GB’s of her. The moral of the story is, check availability, they are out there!
