Anyone using Switch Up this year for the new iPhone? I used it last year and was pretty good tbh, I’ve used it once since to change iPhone colour but purely for free Disney+ and cheaper airtime!

Now you can do it online too, it’s much easier than in store so I’ve done a run through to know what I need to do ready for pre order

Just not feeling any excitement about this year. Seems we’ve gone past peak iPhone.

My 15 pro max is working perfectly and I have absolutely no need to upgrade but ofcourse I will 🤣

I think there is a lot of general excitement within the wider Apple community, same as any new iPhone launch, but I get what you mean about it not feeling very exciting here in these forums. Shame really, but there's probably a [unspoken] reason for that.

I'm in the same boat as you - got a 15PM, but have saved up my pennies for a new phone and new watch :)

Hello, I’m at the end of my 2 year contract with a 14 Pro 256GB.

I don’t even know if I really want to upgrade at all. But if there’s a good deal on a network or if EE offer a discount then there is a good chance as well as a possible trade in of £482 with MM. Have to take the ‘good’ condition because I have a few scratches on my screen so it’s likely that it’s all I’m gonna get for my current device.

Main reason to upgrade is the rumoured slightly larger screen, USB-C, action button, better processor, gpu and more ram and also a fresh new battery.

Anyone who has done Music Magpie in the past - does ‘locking in’ a price need to be done today, before the announcement?
If so, how long is your price ‘locked in’ for?

Thats the risk you take. My advice would be to lock it in now because you know it will reduce at any point today.

Currently on XR since early 2019, debating wether I should upgrade or hold one more year...

'Saving' the price on your account will do nothing as when you checkout, it'll adjust to current selling price anyway.

Once you checkout, you have 21 days to get the device to them via post or kiosk.

Yes, I’ve gone through the checkout and ‘completed’ my order - had a look through the Ts&Cs and it says they must receive it within 21 days to keep that price.

Is it likely to be much different from Apple's Trade in price?

The problem for users in the Uk and europe is the fact that AI will be limited in those areas probably until 2025 and beyond those are the rumours.

If the Hardware upgrades are hardly noticeable and the Iphone 16 is mostly about AI that comes with the new chipset it'll be a harder sell for us other than the usual diehards

edit looks like for once being out of europe will be advantage i assumed apple would just limit AI access to us as well as europe like Ray ban did with the meta glasses people could use VPN to update though to get around that obstacle.
Looks like i might be getting the pro max this time around. i've locked in 625 via uber link and 535 via music magpie.

Counting down here too. I'm more excited this year than last. Not too fussed about AI/Camera Button but bigger battery/cooler iPhone and some other changes have won me over.

Congrats on finding a potential Brexit benefit! They’re rarer than dinosaur turd.

Log into MyO2 then look at the upgrade option. Should give 2 choices, to pay off device or use O2 Switch Up. It’ll then ask for IMEI, some device condition q’s then do the upgrade by adding to basket etc

Last few months or so. It was historically only in store but feel it was a matter of time. So much easier online. They send you a pack in the post to send your phone back too, got to do that within 14 days I think it was. Really easy to do tbh!

What I would say, is that O2 Switch Up doesn’t seem to be the most knowledgeable topic of anyone at O2 😅

Maybe not, as the AI is on-device, not cloud for most things it seems according to reliable sources...
