All I'm getting is

"Payment Verification
Apple and your card issuer are helping to protect you. Please authenticate this transaction to complete your order."

Not getting any notifications on my phone from my bank app.

Maybe need to try again later and if that doesn't work then I'll just need to wait until I can go into a store. It's a joke that Apple worth all these billions can't even make it easy to buy their products. It's pathetic.

I’m in the same boat. There’s definitely a problem on Apples end. I spoke to my bank after getting my card unlocked after the first decline and they confirmed there’s no problem their end. They even gave me a 15 minute window where no authorisation is required and it still failed.

Fingers crossed we don’t lose our place.

Yep that’s definitely an Apple issue if your bank unlocked your card. Hopefully App,e will take lessons learned and get it right next year.

Same! I rang my bank and they seem to think the transaction isn't blocked anymore. 3D secure page isn't loading for me to verify the payment...

I give up. I'll try in an hour or something. I better still get it by the 22nd!

Same, I'm tried half a dozen times, with few different cards - still stuck on the payment verification screen. Guess i'll try this evening, if the shipping date slips i'm just going to cancel and hold out till next year.

I had grief with ordering last year as was in the UAE on launch day, when I did get the order in it was weeks out, then two days later after repeatedly checking the Apple Store app they were available for pick up on launch day so cancelled the original order and went to the store instead.
It's worth checking every now and then, orders get cancelled etc - you may get lucky.
 
Tried to order to pick up in store too but that's not working.

Why are you like this Apple?
 
Anyone not secured a launch day phone, keep checking store pickups. It’s changing by the minute and some models are showing available suddenly. Example - Liverpool store just popped up with a 512gb black titanium pro max for 22nd collection

Just rang EE, apparently today is the biggest launch day they’ve ever had and it’s hard to plan for.

Systems won’t be back up until this evening or tomorrow

The woman I spoke to said hopefully a few hours lol i wonder how much stock they have and if we order tonight or tomorrow if we can still get it for launch day or end of october.

As stock comes in, Apple stores tend to update their inventory lists between 11am and 1pm on a daily basis.
 
Managed to get into the Apple Store app on my phone at 13.01. The preorder errored so closed the app and I got straight back in and then flew through the rest. 15 pro natural 128gb confirmed at 13:02 for pick up in Southampton next Friday am.

I have to say there’s been some comedy gold on here in the last few hours, thanks, it’s kept me chucking. Whoever said ‘I’m gonna throw up’ needs a medal 😂😂😂

Studying in the US meant I was fortunate enough to be pre-approved on the Apple Card monthly installments so todays checkout was done by 7:02 for release day delivery, this is the least stressful pre-order ever for me!!!! now just have to hope I have no issues transferring my EE eSim across otherwise it'll have to wait until I return home in December!
