I’ve seen a lot of people getting declined by Barclays too which I’m a bit worried about
Seems to be almost luck of the dice - I was rejected by Barclays for IUP in 2017, when my credit was all good news; right now I have a few missed payments and even a default from 2020 (self employed during COVID - never again lol) and it was all gravy this time. Who knows what algorithms they use.

EE question. Contract started 22/09/2023 (pre ordered iPhone 15 PM for release date).

1 year hits 21/09/2024. Pre-ordered iPhone 16 PM delivering 20/09/2024.

Apparently because I’ve upgraded 1 day before the 1 year is up, there’s a £100 upgrade fee… surely this will be wavered???
Can you upgrade after 1 year? Did you have to send your current phone back?

First time buying an iPhone on launch day. I chose to collect from the Apple Store on Friday but I’ve realised now that I can’t be there at the time slot I chose. Spoken to Apple and they can’t change the slot. Does anyone have any experience with showing up around an hour earlier than the slot in previous years? Do you think I’d still be able to get it or will I have to wait? Thanks.

A good one. £63 a month for a 16 Pro 512gb unlimited data.

Getting buyers remorse now though. Should of stuck to the 256gb for a fiver a month less but I only have to use 257gb to justify a 512gb purchase 😂, Also it wasn't a necessary upgrade either but selling my 14 Pro for £480.
That's an amazing deal! How did you get that?

All EE deals are bad tbh unless they honour the 1 year upgrade commitment. Ive been upgrading every year with them since T Mobile era but this year decided to pay my 15 Pro 256 GB contracts off and move to sim only with my 50% off F&F rolled over on both lines.

My early upgrade fee with 1 year left was significantly low. I paid £372 and £383 for my contracts which enabled me to keep the devices. Sold one iPhone on ebay for £765 and most likely keep the other one as burner for next year. It was no brainer for me as there will be no upgrade plans offered going forward and it was right to get out this cycle especially with pay off fee so low. And if that changes next year im free to upgrade with no fee next year instead of forking out to pay off significantly high fee which is what you all have to do now.

I think it was bad move by EE to split Device and Airtime plans. And if you look closely they are charging £100 extra over retail price.

I only do Pros now since downgrading from 13 Pro Max. Got two 15 Pro 256 GB directly via Apple for £55.74 pcm each including 2 year AC+ Theft & Loss. And sim deal with EE for £18 pcm with perks etc which can carry on beyond its term time lol. Ill pay off the device finance next year approx. £549.48 each (covered by resale) and then start again with new iPhone

I’ve gone with the Spigen clear case I usually go with, but have added a screen protector this time (while I don’t normally put a protector on, this time microscratches on the display are the only thing stopping my phone from being in ‘Excellent’ trade-in condition after two years, so will bite the bullet this time and hope it’s not obtrusive at all.

Yeah, exactly the same here. For years never bothered with a screen protector. I was even saying last year the phone screens don't scratch if you look after them. Low and behold my 15pro max has a load of micro scratches also for the first time.

You can collect up to 7 days after, so no stress. You just might have to wait when you arrive.

The reason why Networks are splitting Device and Airtime plans is because they can do "36 months" as they cannot keep you on for longer than 24 months deals with Airtime plans. Once 2 years has passed you are free to leave but you would still pay the remaining 12 months on your device solely.

Yep

Network contracts seem to not be worth it these days unless you know somebody or work for the network where you can get 20% discount or more..

Wow I never thought about it like that...

But you are still paying higher than the retail price even over 24 & 36 months period for device.

Im wondering whether it’s worth getting a contract tbh. Currently upgrade program for me is £55 a month which includes AppleCare and I’ve got a smarty sim, which is £15 a month for 180GB and includes EU roaming, unltd mins and texts……. But I want to get an AWU 2, and I can’t add that to my smarty data

I sent my iPhone 15 Pro off to WeBuyAnyPhone earlier today. After I sent I realised I still have the iOS 18.1 beta on it. Does anyone know if they'll accept? Can't see anything in their T&C's regarding software.

I spoke with a manager, and told her that the ordering is all wrong.

She apologised, and refunded me on one of my past straps. So I got £50.

Managed to get a 1TB DT Pro Max in Plymouth for release day ordering at 11pm last night, but i will be travelling from London to Plymouth to get it. Those 6 hours on the train will give me time to set my new baby up;) Jesus how do they not have leather cases this year;(
Day out 🙂

Try EE SIMO Unlimited plans from £36 above which include Roaming and Watch data plan. If someone can help you with 50% off or 20% off its worth looking into

Having missed out on a 20th pickup/delivery I am thinking of ordering a 1TB and then returning it in the 14-day window.

I have a trip on 23rd if really like the new phone for. Am I right in thinking they accept no question retuns?
