Having missed out on a 20th pickup/delivery I am thinking of ordering a 1TB and then returning it in the 14-day window.

I have a trip on 23rd if really like the new phone for. Am I right in thinking they accept no question retuns?
Yeah 14 days, just need everything it came with, no questions asked

Jumping on the battery health bandwagon, day 1 15 Pro. It was still 100% until maybe a month and a half ago, then it quickly dropped to the 97% it is now. Tbh, I find the battery life pathetic overall. I don’t think I’ve noticed an improvement since the 12.

Just sharing my experience.. Upgrading from iPhone 13PM I Ordered (or atleast thought I did) an iPhone 16PM White 256GB from Apple Store at launch. Went through Barclays finance which was approved but no confirmation from Apple received. I held for 45-60 minutes each time and spoke to 2 different agents from Apple who couldn’t do anything but could ‘see’ the order and advised to wait whilst it processes.

Today I received this text from Barclays
“Due to a technical issue we've cancelled your finance application. The issue is now resolved. If you'd like to place another order, please visit the Apple website and try again. There'll be no impact to your credit file because of this - we're sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for bearing with us. Your Barclays Partner Finance team”

Of course delivery dates have now been pushed back to 8-15 October. I would be losing my trade in price with music magpie taking an £80 hit which has left a sour taste in my mouth! I’ll be keeping my 13PM for now

Missed pre-order on the Apple page - ordered with them anyway due 1st to 7th October.
This morning I managed to get a launch day Pro Max from Argos of all places?! .. I’m not cancelling my Apple order yet as all the others (apart from John Lewis maybe?!) are notorious for not delivering when they say they will!
Time will tell!

Try EE SIMO Unlimited plans from £36 above which include Roaming and Watch data plan. If someone can help you with 50% off or 20% off its worth looking into
I had a look, it looks like the best one is £38.40 with my blue light discount. Which is sadly over double what I'm already paying. I can slightly cheaper deals from them but they seem to restrict the speed to 100 mb, which I kind of disagree with out of principle.

Edit: the cheapest I found in the end was 3 mobile, £23 per month with 28 days roaming, unlimited data, texts and mins, and £7 extra to add an apple watch on.

Its not worth doubling my contract price just to add an apple watch, ill just buy it and use it without cellular. I might even just get a refurb one, the update is basically you can get it in black instead of silver.

I sent my iPhone 15 Pro off to WeBuyAnyPhone earlier today. After I sent I realised I still have the iOS 18.1 beta on it. Does anyone know if they'll accept? Can't see anything in their T&C's regarding software.
I guess your bigger concern should be the company and not the 18.1 sw

PSA: Never, ever attempt to buy an iPhone on pre-order day with an accumulated gift card balance.

I was there, as I am every year, refreshing the store at opening time but this year I had over £1000 in Apple credit to use. I applied my balance to the cost of my chosen iPhone 16 Pro Max, got to the 'Place Order' button, clicked it and then got an error message saying payment wasn't authorised by my credit card/bank for the portion not covered by the credit.

So I tried again and again and got the same thing. Then, I thought, I'll just buy some more credit so my total credit equals the entire cost of the phone. So I did that and tried again, all the while knowing that ship dates would be starting to slip.

Clicked the place order button again and got the same thing. £1199 in store credit utterly useless. Why am I getting messages about my credit card/bank not authorising when the issue is not with them (I even checked this by ordering a phone successfully with my credit card and then cancelling)?

So with ship dates now having slipped into October I then spent the next 4 hours speaking to eight different people, only the last of whom actually took some ownership of my problem and promised to get it sorted and call me back on Monday. Each chirpy "I'd be so happy to help you today!" became increasingly like having my ears grated. By the time I'd finished explaining it for the umpteenth time, the words had lost all meaning; they were just noises coming out of my mouth.

This morning I discovered a thread on the Apple Community forums where someone (among the many who have had exactly the same issue over the years) suggested that a method that works is placing the order with a credit card and then calling Apple to get the post-sales department to change the payment method to your Apple account balance.

Bloody hell - it actually worked, and I now have an iPhone ordered but it won't be delivered until mid-October now. First time I've missed an iPhone launch since 2007 (I know; teeny tiny violins for me)

But, Jesus, the tortuous process to get it sorted was beyond painful. It's nuts that this is a recurring problem and Apple hasn't fixed it, or even told its support staff what the solution is.

Wow that’s awful. I’m sure they will put it down to some security measures

I was hoping to get mine ordered today but it looks like there's basically no availability for the foreseeable.

QUESTION, This yeah I missed the preorders is there much stock available for walk ins if I'm there an start of opening time?.
Ideally 16pro max

Usually stock goes live early on in a morning on the website. That’s how I got lucky last year.

Still managed to snag an iPhone 16 Pro for release day pick-up at the Metrocentre, despite being a day late to the pre-order train. Very surprised about that but happy!

The MetroCentre? Is that thing still going?

Yes. But be careful if you lose it or scratch it. You’ll be out of pocket big time

I managed to order a phone and a watch using my Apple Store balance, that I accumulated via gift cards that I bought Friday morning, with no issues. Both items are in the processing stage and will be ready for pickup on Friday at my local Apple Store. However, the funds are still in my Apple account balance, but Apple and other people on here have advised that they will take this once the items are being dispatched.

That’s not been an issue for me, my gift balance was £800 and it’s gone through with £350 due to be taken from my debit card. Odd that it didn’t work for you but it was seamless for me.

Does anyone know when reviews will likely go live? My initial thought was to skip the upgrade from a 15 PM but if the reviews are favourable I may try to pick one up in store on launch day assuming there’s availability

Vodafone advised me that for the first time 5G SA or what Vodafone term as 5G ultra will be supported on iOS but only the iPhone 16 range! I’m surprised how quiet this has been as up to now UK networks have only supported Android devices for 5G SA. I asked about the iPhone 15 range and other ios devices and they said no.
