I’m ‘upgrading’ from the Ultra. The 10 has a slightly bigger screen, screen also goes down to 1hz and is now wide angle. Not as bright as the Ultra but not sure I’ll notice tbh. Also has a better SIP, far thinner and lighter, which I’ll appreciate as I wear my watch in bed for sleep tracking all the time.
Also, I believe the Ultra has an enhanced microphone and two speakers that are louder for outdoor use in the elements

Reading how much some of you are paying per month is scary.
Yeah. My 14 PM is £38 with Apple, and I've just paid it off, and my sim is £22. The 16 Pro will be £25 a month so my total outlay would be £47, but I'm tempted to pay for the phone outright this time. I've come to the conclusion that having a monthly cost makes it much more tempting to upgrade because the monthly cost doesn't change, so it feels like a free upgrade in a sense.

£31 for my 16 pro max, plus £6 per month for 80gb. £37 total.

I’ve had every iPhone since the original until the 12 pro max, bought most outright until Apple introduced the upgrade programme which was/is the best idea they have had in terms of paying for phones. I’m now on an every other year upgrade cycle and have been since the 12.

I assume that £31 a month is with a trade in?

EE are excellent but their prices are ridiculously high without discount codes.
I always thought that, but a few years ago I switched, and they are so much better (but not perfect). Where I live and when traveling including more remote areas/Scotland.

A few weeks ago I switched over to their broadband for the same reason - better peering/latency.

Anyway iPhone 16 256 black in 'Processing' still. 25Sep-30Sep ETA.
If I'm honest I'm still wondering whether to keep or return (from iPhone 13 pro max). Apple Intelligence was one draw. I'll run the beta - but I have it on an ipad, and it's well so so.
Wondering if my data will move forward...

I’m joining the upgrade programme this year. I know I have to go in store this year but once on it like next year can I get my iPhone 17 delivered to home?

I did. Order was confirmed over the phone but no correspondence since.
You will not get any unless you ring them and ask for master sales order reference.

If you are slotted in for delivery on 20th. You will get a text on Thursday saying your plan had been updated and at that moment you need to open your DPD app and tracking should be there.

That’s very true, luckily I’ve always had pretty good coverage with Three. I lived near Bristol until 2020 when I moved to Cardiff, and apart from the odd spot where it drops out, it’s been pretty good. Yeah even when I was looking on uswitch and mobiles.co.uk I couldn’t find anything better than the price I was given via Three’s live chat, after I had asked for additional discount.

Yeah Three does have good coverage in Cardiff and I was on it for a time when I lived in Cardiff nearly 20 years ago though lol. It’s patchy in the Valleys and you’ll find EE and Vodafone are better up here. You must have had a good discount, I never have any luck when I do that.

Myself and my partner go direct to EE. Yes it may well cost a bit more, but it’s zero hassle and that’s more important to us than a few quid a month.

To be fair when you upgrade on those sites you just add a package to a basket, put your details in and put your existing phone number in the field to carry it over to a new sim. It’s a lot easier these days compared to the days of PAK codes and dealing with call centres etc.

EE, Sky, Vodafone, all a rip off. I’m with Three. 1TB 16PM £81 a month for 2 years unlimited everything (paid £85 up front). The sim plan works out at about £17 ish a month when you add up the total and take the price of the phone off.

In parts of the South Coast, in the UK, Three doesn't alway give good coverage, EE is much better in comparison.

I was with Three since 2012. The signal quality in my part of Glasgow dropped dramatically in the last few years. I can’t afford EE so moved to Spusu UK as they are very reasonable and they use the EE network.

You just need to say to them “is that the absolute best price you can offer me” - they’ve always got wiggle room of a few quid.

I agree, forgot how painful pre-order weeks where especially when the case arrives and the screen protectors 😂😂
Mines not being delivered until 1-8th October and I’m going away on the 3rd for 4 days (made my wife pick up contact from the locker)

One reason why I was happy to move from Three to EE a good few years back; my folks have property in the Highlands and Three/O2 are nigh on useless there, but EE and 5G is solid!

Interesting that some orders are only just preparing to ship.
My S10 and 16PM both went to Preparing to ship over the weekend.
Case is arriving tomorrow so that will kick off an exciting few days.

Seeing a lot of valleys / Cardiff talk in here. But I'm from Caerphilly. 5G is faultless here and can achieve a good 500-950Mbps.

Cardiff is hit and miss due to volume of traffic. But works.
