I thought it might be quicker - Quick Start has taken a little while when I’ve done it beforeI have always just used iCloud backup to transfer and it’s been fine.
Is there a specific reason you want to use a cable?

It could be if your internet connection isn’t full fibre.I thought it might be quicker - Quick Start has taken a little while when I’ve done it before
Mazuma need an 80% battery health, our iPhone SE is only at 76%.Really?
They offered £160 less than what mazuma offered for my 14 Pro Max!

Keeping my fingers crossed too with Very. Strange way they’ve dealt with all this - surely they could communicate things better. Almost everyone that ordered from them minutes after launch will have been hoping (expecting) delivery on Friday.Early days yet, most orders from all retailers won’t start moving till Thursday
EE, Sky, Vodafone, all a rip off. I’m with Three. 1TB 16PM £81 a month for 2 years unlimited everything (paid £85 up front). The sim plan works out at about £17 ish a month when you add up the total and take the price of the phone off.EE were originally offering me a £100 a month deal for the 256gb pro max, thought this was steep so opted for buying a 1TB pro max it outright and going sim only (22pm) this works out about 95 a month but instead of a 256 now have a 1tb phone. I take lots of family videos and photos so it is the better option for me. EE is being scandalous though, you pretty much pay the first year for your phone and then the second year for your data plan. So £1200 over 2 years, works out about £50 a month just for the contract. terrible!!! We are going back to the days where its cheaper by the phone outright and go sim only
Ring them.Anyone else stuck with just an xko number from EE?
I’ve always been a big advocate of three and was going to back to them but it’s £15 a month to add an Apple Watch to an account.EE, Sky, Vodafone, all a rip off. so I upgraded my iPhone 15 pro on the EE anytime upgrade. I was meant to pay an upgrade fee of £100 but EE kindly moved my contract forward by 1 week wiping this charge out.
Strange thing was the advisor didn’t mention me sending my old iPhone back so after a call to EE last night they have advised I do not need to send my old iPhone back which is strange being it’s upgraded on anytime upgrade.
They also provided it in a text to confirm. Has anyone else had this? I’m sceptical about whether I can sell the device or not!

Crazy how much it costs on some networks to add a Watch. I used to have it when I was on EE for running without my phone, but then the price went up so it wasn’t worth it and I just took my phone with me.I’ve always been a big advocate of three and was going to back to them but it’s £15 a month to add an Apple Watch to an account.
If you don’t need a phone and want sim only I’d highly recommend smarty going forward, it piggy backs on three anyway. The only reason I’m leaving smarty is because if managed to get F&F discount off a mate for EE, meaning I can add a watch to it for £6 and get Apple Music included.
That’s very true, luckily I’ve always had pretty good coverage with Three. I lived near Bristol until 2020 when I moved to Cardiff, and apart from the odd spot where it drops out, it’s been pretty good. Yeah even when I was looking on uswitch and mobiles.co.uk I couldn’t find anything better than the price I was given via Three’s live chat, after I had asked for additional discount.Coverage is important though and Three in Wales is not the best, so all depends where you live. Vodafone and EE have the best coverage here. They are rip off if you go through the carrier directly but who does that these days? It’s best going through USwitch or Mobiles.co.uk for better deals. I’ve upgraded on Vodafone with a cash back deal through work, but they couldn’t match the monthly tariff and didn’t even try to. I’m paying £44 a month for an iPhone 16 Pro Max 256gb and the closest Vodafone could go was £65 a month.
The iOS 18 Features summary states: Cabled migration Connect your current phone directly to your new iPhone with a USB-C or USB-C to Lightning cable to migrate your data more quickly.Question for anyone who has set up a 15 from a 14 or earlier - can you use a USB-C to lightning cable to transfer data from the old to new phone? Apple’s website makes it sound like you need an adapter and a pure lightning cable, so is there a reason one of the USB-C to lightning cables I have lying around won’t work?
From my last two pre-orders it’s usually DHLDo we know if Apple still use either DPD or DHL for iPhone deliveries? I much prefer DPD in my area however the last couple of years it’s always been DHL who never stick to the time slot and just turn up whenever they like…
Myself and my partner go direct to EE. Yes it may well cost a bit more, but it’s zero hassle and that’s more important to us than a few quid a month.Coverage is important though and Three in Wales is not the best, so all depends where you live. EE are a great company. Never had a single issue with them in many years!EE are an awful company with an almost predatory attitude to their customers sometimes, BUT, where I live they have demonstrably the best coverage and the fastest speeds.
