Not sure if it’s been posted as this topic has moved quick so apologies if so, but for anyone experiencing freezes and general sluggishness there is what appears to be a 16 range specific software update available

Really wish Apple still did the leather cases, I find the silicone ones too grippy to slip in and out of the pocket easily and they catch lint like nobodies business.

Anyone found a good quality equivalent leather case for the 16PM?
I love the Bullstrap ones. A little on the pricey side, but always discount codes available.

I collected from the Apple Store in Liverpool at about 12:15 and it was rammed!! Huge queue to collect and a huge queue to buy, it even carried on outside!

Busiest I’ve seen it in a long time.

I was there at 12 and agree. Packed! I was in and out in 15 minutes though. Was queuing outside.

Trying on the ultramarine case on the black iPhone 16 Pro.

I'm probably returning it, I don't really see that button adding anything to my life to justify upgrading from the 15PM.

If you're in London and want to grab a phone and a case at RRP and can come to SW you can have it.

I’ve had my 14 pro max for 2 years and not a single scratch on the screen! And I’m a heavy user.

And even though I don’t like them and have apple care, here I am thinking about getting one 😂

I do think this will be my phone for the next 3 years so I do want to look after it a little better than my 14PM.

Are the Spigen ones still any good?

Also I also wish Apple did the leather cases!

The silicone ones feel nasty (texture issues)

Been using the Spigen EZFit screen protectors since they started releasing them, been on all my iPhones and Android phones and they're faultless IMO - very easy to install too

Work perfectly with their cases as well

I've not got my 16PM yet; but I have the said Spigen screen protector in my office drawer ready and a Spigen Tough Armor magsafe case too

Anyone else having this issue. I've transferred across my phone but none of the apps are downloading. Any ideas?
Yes, this! Taking forever. A few apps downloaded but now everything is stuck. They get as far as “loading” and about 2/3 of the progress wheel then nothing. If I pause one, the next one starts and gets stuck in the same place. Seems liek maybe Apple servers overloaded. Anyone else?

I bought the 'Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit' screen protector that came with an applicator frame, worked really well. Also works perfectly with the Spihen Ultra Hybrid case, cant see the edges of the screen protector at all.
I have gone for the same case and protector setup. Love me some Spigen goodness.

Just received my iPhone 16 Pro Max and I’m sad to say I’m not really enjoying it. The brushed titanium looked better on the iPhone 15 Pro Max in my opinion and hid the fingerprints a lot better. Also the increased size and the more rounded corners doesn’t make sense as it’s now heavier and harder to hold.

I loved my iPhone 15 Pro Max until I dropped it and scratched the screen and frame, I still have it but I’m debating on whether to sending back the 16 and paying to repair the screen and frame, or sell this and live with a ‘worse’ phone for a year until the iPhone 17 series, hmm…

It’s arrived 😃. Went for the white this year. Love the idea of the black back, but don’t want the sides to get scratched, plus I love the bright silver sides. Now just have to wait to the backup to set up. Tried to work out how to do it as a wired thing, but couldn’t seem to get anywhere, so WiFi it is….
You also got a nice case with it! The black MagSafe coil + black border surrounding the camera makes for a very nice contrast! :)

Ok, so the standard ESR screen protector with the automatic foolproof installation tray did not work. Big bubbles. I tried the Magic John ones, that went on perfectly.
Strange because the ESR was my standard choice for years.
I’ve just put an esr screen protector on and it’s flawless apart from one tiny bit at the bottom. Not sure how long I’ll keep it on, just wanted a bit of protection while it’s new. Can see how it would be hit or miss with these things though, if you contact them they probably send out another set.

Picked up a 16 Pro (Black) from the Apple Store Belfast Northern Ireland. The queuing system outside had just 2 people plus me. One person wanted to buy as a walk in but was told to reserve a time and pay online. He walked away in disgust.

I was then served and “allowed” to proceed inside the store. It was EMPTY apart from the 8 apple employees looking somewhat bored. When I say empty I am not spinning a line or exaggerating, it was empty. Went upstairs; two customers and then “the line” at the bar to collect the iPhone. That was empty too so I sauntered up and collected my iPhone.

2 minutes later I was out. This was at 9.15am. When I left you’ve guessed it - the line outside was empty. And the store employees (and the four security guards inside the ground floor) continued to just wander around looking bored.

This Apple policy of reserving and paying and lining up and receiving permission to enter the hallowed halls of the golden Apple Store is putting people off big time. It’s embarrassing.

The iPhone itself? Lovely thanks🤣
I imagine this will be company directives that each store have to follow, but in that situation it’s a bit daft. Glasgow had a queue and was mobbed inside with a few people, but not loads, waiting to get in. Companies need to let managers manage and do what’s best for the customers in their store.

Is anyone else in having issues with ao.com? It was originally meant to come today. They won't give me much info as they say the order is handled by a warehouse that they can't contact, which is obviously some weird customer service excuse. I've tried calling and emailing them, and the staff are unhelpful and vague about when it will be delivered.

No clue when mine is coming from ao.com. They also won't let me cancel the order which I have never encountered on more reputable providers, they say it can't be cancelled before it arrives but won't give me a definitive answer on when it is coming.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else is having a hard time getting a straight answer from ao.com.
